2016: August, Fall Semester
Finally, Magenta's an upperclassmen. She's a Junior and another year closer to graduating. It's apparent she's getting closer to real adulthood. An indicator of that is the fact she's not going to be living in the dorms this year. Instead of living on campus, she decided to get an off-campus student apartment.
Today's move in day and with a car full of stuff Magenta pulls into the complex known as Uptown Apartments going to the clubhouse. When she walks in she's given a cheery greeting by one of the student employees. Most of the people who work for the apartment complex are other students of UNT or the other university in the city.
She gets her keys, a free t-shirt, and a checklist for the apartment before exiting right back out to her car. She only has to back out and drive 30 seconds to find her building. Going up to the second floor and unlocking the door for apartment 1122 she walks in all smiles feeling liberated. No more walking through the residence hall lobby.
Her mother, Tempest, follows behind her looking around. She already has a critical eye ready to complain about anything to the manager. She doesn't want her daughter staying somewhere rinky dink. It needs to look like the pictures and the apartment she toured or there's going to be a problem.
Magenta's just glad she got an apartment that's already furnished. They understand students don't plan to be here forever. It's basic furniture, but it does the job. She unlocks the door for her individual room since she has two other roommates. They all have their own bedroom, attached bathroom, and walk-in closet. Entering the room that has a bed, dresser, desk, and nightstand she looks around.
Gen does a quick walkthrough checking a couple things off the list before going back out to her car. She opens the trunk to her Jeep seeing all the stuff she packed and bought. Choice has her other stuff in his car, but he's not here yet. She doesn't even know where to start when she hears her name called.
Looking around her car she sees someone crossing the parking lot. Realizing it's Gee her heart skips a beat before a smile takes over her face. It's been 3 very longggg months since she's seen him...
