THIRD PERSON
Days passed quickly. Y/N and Harry agreed to pretend they weren't dating for Ron's sake. They took their second flight to the west coast of America. Los Angeles, California.

Y/N felt like they were a bit too grateful the way they enjoyed being in America. She planned on taking them to somewhere that was located on their side of the planet but, Ron was never able to make an important decision so, she listened to him.

They spent the day touring around, running into a couple celebrities. When they returned to the beachside mansion Y/N rented out, it was almost midnight. Ron and Hermione went off to bed while Y/N and Harry sat under the stars.

"I hate when you're right." Y/N's voice rang over the sounds of the water in front of them.

The sand breezed across their feet, the beach fitting the mood of their newly started conversation. They were sat directly onto the sand, ignoring how dirty their clothes would get.

"What am I right about?" Harry turned to her, his skin perfectly reacting to the moonlight.

"Me." Y/N casually admitted.

"What did I say?" Harry pulled her closer so he could do what she loved most, whisper in her ear.

"That I'm amazing." She squinted up at the stars as Harry laughed softly, "What?"

"I'm always right." Harry teasingly spoke to her, keeping a smirk on his face. Y/N smiled to herself but made sure he couldn't see her.

"No stupid boy has ever made me genuinely smile," Y/N confessed, "until you.."

"Did you just-" Harry jumped up, "Were you just.. being nice to me?" He smiled in a state of shock and confusion.

"No.." Y/N looked away.

Harry stayed quiet before realizing something he's wanted to do all day, "Hey, I er.." He pulled out a slip of parchment, "I want to show you something."

Y/N was a bit sketchy about it at first as she grabbed it. Harry sat awkwardly in his spot, feeling more nervous by the second.

"Is it another letter from Malfoy because I swear to Merlin-"

"Just read it." Harry whispered with a grin.

Y/N hesitantly obeyed his orders, hoping that she guessed wrong.

Dear Y/N Potter, (and no, I won't start over)

There aren't nearly enough words to explain how I feel about you. I never enjoy seeing you with other guys (or girls) because I've fallen for you. My heart has been set on you since the day I first ran into you on Diagon Alley.

My greatest wish is to spend the rest of my life with you, and I don't plan on changing that. You've been with me for every dark moment in my life. Being with you makes my heart, and mind, go to places they've never been. You make me who I am and I'm beyond grateful for that.

I'm grateful for your humor. I'm grateful for the way you look at me. I'm grateful for your loyalty. I'm grateful for someone who understands me. What I'm trying to say is, I'm grateful for you. I could never explain how much you mean to me.

Love, Your Boyfriend

Y/N sat quietly for a few seconds, taking in the words she read. When she looked up, Harry was looking away, avoiding eye contact.

"Three paragraphs.." Y/N smiled happily.

"Written on parchment." Harry turned to her with the same expression, "Ready for bed?" He quickly changed the subject.
