We were silent.
"You're joking." Kaz looked at her.
She shook her head, "If I was, I wouldn't be the mastermind,"We were silent again.
"So, everyone else who's dead is actually alive?" Koki asked.
Kunihiko nodded, "This was all just a test, it wasn't real, you can die right now, and you'd get out alive."
"I really don't feel good about this..." Shin said.
"What's not to feel good about, you can die now, you can see your dead friends again, you'll live happily," She smiled.
"...Will you get out?" I asked.
"Huh? Of course not, silly! I already said, I'm dead! So I live only in your minds!" She smiled.
"That...doesn't make me feel better," I stated.
"Huh? Why?" She asked.
"Because, you're my friend, I don't wanna leave you behind," I stated.
"...So you do still care, huh?" She said, solemnly.
"Of course I do!" I shouted.
She smiled melancholically, "It's a shame, it's my time to go,"
"...What?!" I leaned forward.
"I need to leave, now that you found me out. You have the option to leave, or to stay if you would like. If you stay, there would be no rules, no end to your happiness, you'd live peacefully, but you'd most likely be alone. If you leave, you'll be back in your normal society. But, you will see everyone again. Do you want happiness or do you want reality?" She explained. We all were silent once more. This wasn't a hard decision, I did want to go back to reality. But to lose one of my best friends here, Kunihiko, it almost made me want to stay.
"Whatever you choose I'll give you, trust me," She said finally.
I nodded. The rest of us were still kind of confused, or worried, it was a big mix of negative emotions.
"Get me out of here." Kaz stated.
"Wait, are you sure?!" Shin leaned over his podium.
"If I have the chance to see everyone again, and to see Zenshiro again, I'm fucking taking that." She said, nodding.
Kunihiko smiled, "I knew you would say that,"Kunihiko pressed a button. It immediately shot a harpoon through her chest. She gasped and fell to the ground. A group of Monokuma's came in and pulled her body away. The pool of her blood was still there.
"She trusted her immediately, because of some petty reason?!" Shin exclaimed.
"No, I'm going too." Koki stated bluntly, "Purely for the same reason, I wish to see Shichiro again. I made him a promise, I'm keeping it."
Kunihiko smiled, "I hope he wants to keep it as well,"She pressed another button. His podium opened and he fell into a pit. The sound of him falling, his body being crushed, echoed throughout the room. I was on the verge of tears.
"How can they all be so sure of this?!" I was worried.
"They can trust me, like you can. You know I barely ever lie. If I do, it's not for my own good, it's to protect you all." She stated.
"So, you're not lying? We'll see everyone again?" Shin asked.
Kunihiko nodded, "I don't know how many times I have to tell you, but yes. I'm telling you the truth."
Shin and Takahiro nodded, "Then we're going," Shin stated.
Kunihiko nodded, "I wish you both the best,"Two buttons were pressed. They both got different endings. Shin's head was sliced clean off, Takahiro was shot a few times from the other side of the room. I was alone. I was in tears at this point. Kunihiko looked at me.
"So, what'll it be?" She asked.
I wondered. They were all gone. If I stayed I would be alone, but I wouldn't have to deal with the outside world. I wouldn't have any worries. But, I wouldn't have any friends. I made my decision.
I nodded.
"I'd like to leave, please," I said.
"...I'll miss you the most, then," She pressed a button, "Goodbye, Mamoru."
