Chapter 14

"And finally this teddy bear is for you." Says Branden as he brings a huge teddy bear from his space ring and gives it to his daughter. Bella looks at the huge baby pink color teddy bear with wide eyes. The bear is as huge as her. Her two small hands won't be enough to hug it properly. She can completely lie down on it without any problem. After seeing all the toys, Bella told herself that she won't be surprised. But as her parents keep giving her toys after toys and other childish things, she couldn't help but be surprised everytime. They really treats her like a child. No wonder this body didn't even learned how to walk untill she possessed her.

It can't be blamed on her family. She is the only girl in the four generation of the Michelin family. So everyone spoils her limitless. Besides, her parents hasn't seen her for half a year.  So they are expressing all their love through these gifts.

The gift giving session started after they had their nutrition liquid as breakfast. Their parents started bringing gifts out of their space ring one after another. Dolls, clothes, jewelery, fluffy pillows, stuffed toys and so on. The living room is completely buried in their gifts. What is funny to Bella is, none of her parent brought any gift for her brothers. All the gift has been bought for her but nothing for her brothers. Not even a ball pen. When her parents were busy burying her under gifts, she from time to time would look her brothers to see their expression. Everytime she would be surprised to see her brothers' faces full of smiles. No jealousy or anger could be seen on their faces. Rather, they seems happy that their parents bought gift for her.

The more Bella sees their love for her, the more she becomes surprised. She feels guilty and happy at the same time. Guilty because she is now here because the previous owner of these body is no longer here. All there love supposed to belong to the original Bella. But she somehow came here and received all their love which isn't hers. Her family doesn't even know that their precious girl is no more and someone else has already occupied her body. That the person they are loving this dearly isn't the person they used to know. She couldn't help but feels sorry for them. And at the same time she promises to herself to treat them better. She will one day make them proud as a compensation for their dead daughter.

"Mom, you shouldn't bring so much gifts for her." Says Berson with a sigh. The reason he said this not because he is jealous but because his parents really brought too much. He knows that their parents came here to take his sister with them. They won't stay here for very long. So it's completely useless to bring so many gifts with them. It will just burden them.

"Oh, you boys shut up." Says Beth in a scolding tone. "It's been so long I saw my daughter. And you think I bought too much? I think I didn't buy enough."

"Right, right." Branden nods and chirps along with his wife. "I didn't buy anything for my babygirl for a long time. I can just come empty handed, now can I? Sweetie, tell me if you don't like these gifts. We will then buy you more, okay?"

Branden asks his daughter as he rubs their cheek together. How long has it been since he last hold his beloved daughter like this. He was heartbroken when his wife didn't let him hold her anymore. He didn't blame his wife for this. His daughter's health had been deteriorating day by day and she was being more and more weaker. They had no choice but put her body to nutrition solution most of the time. He wasn't able to hold his daughter three years for this. Now that his daughter is finally cured, he can hold her as much as he want.

Bella can't help but grimace everytime her father rubs their cheek together. Not because she finds it disgusting or something, or that she doesn't like people's touch. Her father's chin is also clean shaved. But she grimace because it's hurts. This body of her is very weak. The love of her father is very heavy which her small body can't bear. She fears that her father would snap her bone or something if he holds her too tight. But she couldn't even complain. It's not that she doesn't want to but...she already feels guilty for possessing their daughter's body. Her consciousness would kill her if she avoids their love now. So, she just quietly stay seated in her father's lap and receives his 'painful' love from time to time.
