"Thanks Danny," Amelia waved to the boy with a large grin on her face.

"See you at school," Danny waved back and got into his car before driving away.

She headed back, buzzing with excitement. Danny had managed to find them through radio waves and was able to send a message somehow.

The reaction was instant. Although there was no direct message, the song had changed on, but it wasn't just any song. It was the one that played in the Scorch right before they got split up and blew up the warehouse. Thomas and Brenda had to make their way back to the group and that was just what Brenda and Jorge were gonna do.

"Can you believe it?" Amelia asked as she flopped onto the couch. Her head landed on Thomas' lap and her feet dangled over the armrest.

Minho chuckled at Thomas' stunned expression which quickly turned into laughter.

"It's great," Thomas said, smiling down at the girl.

"How was lacrosse?" Amelia asked, arching her neck to look at Minho.

"Great!" he grinned, buzzing from the excitement of getting some of the Gladers together. All of them were. They were on an all time high if excitement. "Even if I'm a greenie, Coach said I could be a co-Keeper if I continued working."

"Co-Captian," Thomas corrected, grinning as he interlinked his hand with Amelia's. Their hands rested on her stomach and watched as Minho got some snacks from the kitchen. "Have you heard from Gally?"

Minho froze for a second and glanced at his best friend.

"Can't say that I have," Minho shrugged nonchalantly but they all knew he was worried for the Glader. Nobody understood him like the Survivors. The maze made him tough and change... well he wasn't good dealing with that. "WCKD cut him off from the mind link when he 'died' so I haven't been able to establish a link with him."

Amelia groaned, "I feel so bad that I can't talk with you sometimes."

"Why is that again?" the Korean boy asked. During the craziness, they hadn't found out why she could only talk to Teresa and Thomas while the rest of the Gladers were cut off from her.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure," the girl shrugged.

"You weren't meant to be in the maze," Thomas cut the silence.

"What?" Thomas looked at the male before returning his gaze to the table. He heard Minho sit down as he ran over his thoughts quickly, trying to find how he knew that but nothing came up. "Where in the shuck was she if not the maze?"

"I was designed to be a warrior," Amelia whispered, sitting up from her horizontal position on the couch. She pulled her legs to her chest and sighed in annoyance. "My file said that I trained for a while before I worked to take out anyone that got into the building. They... they even let police in just for them to test me.

"But I refused," Amelia gave a sad chuckle. She had no memories of what she spoke about but she saw the videos of what happened. While Minho's face was filled with shock, Thomas was curious. He may have known a little from his time working but not all of the details. "I would take down the people I was sent to but refused to kill them like they wanted. One day though..."

Her voice shook as she thought about WCKD. A hand moved to her knee and she followed it to Minho's face. His eyebrows were drawn in concern while Thomas squeezed her hand.

"One day I found kids that WCKD took and I apparently spent my entire time with them, hiding from my superiors. That's where I got the caring side of me but WCKD found out and used me to watch the children when I wasn't training. They even threatened them when they saw that I cared for them."
