Chapter 6: Provocation

"Mama!" I shouted as I attacked her with my hugs. I heard Mama Isabella laughed softly as she caresses my hair. The Bunny in my arms almost fell, it's a good thing that Mama Isabella's reflexes are fast and she caught it.

Right, as a 'Mom' she had undergone such training including physical training, self-defense that increased her reflexes.

I buried my face affectionately to her tummy since I am small.

"Fufufu, careful my Little Bunny. You seem energetic today, I wonder why?" She asked in a playful tone. I raised my head to glance at her, her expressions didn't show any suspicious reaction. Looks like Ray did not report our little secret.

"Mama~ Look at me, don't you notice something?" I asked in a sweet tone while waving my braided hair. Isabella chuckled as she looked at me with a confused face.

"I wonder what's that something~?" She asked in a sing-song tone. I huffed my cheeks along with her words. I took a few steps backward while twirling the end of my braided hair.

"Mama didn't notice my hair," I said in a sad tone. Acting like this is hard but at the same time exciting, I missed my childhood memories when I was Y/N, Acting as a child does really excite me... Although Mama will betray Conny someday...

"Fufu, I'm just kidding my little bunny, Of course, I noticed your pretty hair. It really suits you" She as she touched my bouncy cheeks. "Conny, my darling is really pretty"

I noticed that someone behind Mama is looking at me, it was Ray, he is currently looking at me as if I am doing something that I should never do.  I probably look weird in his eyes. It's like seeing a mature person acting childishly.

He glared at me when he noticed that I took a peek at him.

Today, I didn't make improvements on my test, Since our scores were announced by Mama Isabella I noticed him looking in my direction.

"Mama is more pretty, when I grow up I wanted to be like Mama!"

"Oh dear, Conny is starting to be more vocal," She said

"It's because I love Mama!" I shouted, taking the attention of the other kids. "and Mama loves Conny" then I showed a toothy grin.

"Me too!" A kid suddenly shouted while running in our direction. "Don't just hug Mom for yourself, Conny!" He said as he pouted his lips.

How cute~ I wanted to argue with Tom, but he's too cute and I'm too old to argue with a child

"Me three!" Then the other kids who are younger than me immediately attacked Mama Isabella with hugs.

"Me fouuuur! Conny can't take Mama Isabella aloneee!"

"Aw, don't fight my little ones, Of course, I love you all equally," Mama Isabella said as she hugs us. "

My eyes went to Ray once more. I also noticed that he is still glancing at me with his bored face. He immediately averted his gaze. I brightly at him before hugging Mama Isabella back.

Ray is probably thinking about how I act naturally to Mama Isabella when I know that she will be going to betray me one day... I don't really know but I still love her as my mother... Maybe I don't really hate mama because I know that she has her own reasons.

I can't say that I know everything about them because I have watched the anime series.

However, In this world, I am probably the only person who can understand Mom...

One week had passed since the last time I talked to Ray, he is seriously acting like he didn't talk about anything important with me. However, I would often see him looking in my direction whenever our daily test exam scores would be announced.
