A month and a half later —
"Noah we have to start looking for a place now." Dixie meantions as they drive home. It's late around 11:15 and the couple is getting back from a work dinner. It was with a few of their colleagues not about anything in particular just to catch up.
"Oh so we're bringing the topic back?"
"Yes. Our least is up in a few weeks."
"Wait really?"
"Yea we bought them a day apart, so your is up on the 28th and mine is up the 27th."
"Okay, do you want me to call the lady and see if she can get us in for tomorrow. We can go look at some of the places she was mentioning to me and see if we like any of them."
"Sure ye that's perfect."
"Anything for you baby."
"I love you."

Dixie walks over to Noah's apartment at around nine. He texted her last night explaining that he had gotten them an appointment with the same person at 11 in the morning. He also said we could go out for breakfast, to which Dixie made the right decision to get up early like she did on the weekdays. she wanted to make a good impression as well as pamper herself after the last couple weeks she's had.
"Good morning baby." Noah said when Dixie walked in the door. "How did you sleep?" "Great actually." Dixie said teasing him as she knew he was hoping for a different answer.
She waited as Noah got ready. Once he did they got in the car and Dixie began asking where they were going for breakfast.
"I'm not telling you." Noah teased as he buckled his seatbelt, started the engine and placed his hand on Dixies leg. She smiled laying hers atop his as they drove to Souvla. The breakfast/ lunch place that Dixie and Noah had there first conversation. The first time they truly hung out.
It feels like a lifetime ago.
"Babe you didn't!" Dixie laughed looking at the beautiful sign.
Though her best friend owns it; Dixie hadn't been to this place in a while, between the wedding and their honeymoon and everything else in between. No one has had time to stop by and check in.
"We haven't been here in ages."
Dixie squealed grabbing her purse and taking off her seatbelt.
"Thank you."
She looked at Noah, his beautiful green eyes, she couldn't help but think about what she did to deserve this man; this amazing, humble, considerate man. Someone who thinks about the person he's with and finds gentle things to give to them as a vow of affection. A way to show he cares because words aren't his strong suit. This is his "I love you."
"I love you too." Dixie says kissing him.
He smiles because she gets him, she always will.
They go in talk, eat laugh about things that aren't even funny because they are each other's forever.
