Bonnie POV

I must've lost track of time because when I look over at my clock, it is 12 in the afternoon.

"Oh crap! At least I'll have time to make to history."
I say

I rush to get ready and get into my car.

After reaching the school parking lot, I hurry and rush to my class. It already started. Lucky me

I walk in to see Ric taking attendance and the class staring at me.

"Sorry, I'm late," I say, rushing to my seat.

I didn't even notice him staring at me in shock until I was fully situated at my desk.

He eventually cleared his throat and got back to finishing the attendance.

"What are we learning today"? He asked

"With the decade's dance tonight, we've been covering the 60's all week," a girl in the front said

'Too bad, I was dead during that time' I thought.

"Ah yes! The sixties." He said before meeting eyes with Elena

Is it me, or is Ric off today?

He quickly turns to the board and starts writing.

"The sixties... I wish I could say something good about the sixties. They actually sucked. Except for the Beatles... they made it bearable." He muttered towards the end

The class laughed

"There was the walk on the moon, um... and the watergate."

"The watergate was in the 70s," I respond.

Just because I was dead, that doesn't mean I didn't do my research when I was up and kicking again.

Alaric looks at me with piercing eyes.

"You are right. Sometimes the information just gets jumbled up there. Thank you, Bonnie." He says

I nod, and before you know it, class is over.

I was making my way out of the class when I hear my name being called

I turn around to see Matt. I smile at him as he gives me a hug

"Hey Matty, how are you?"

"I'm good. I wanted to ask if you were going to the decade's dance tonight?"

I hadn't really thought about it. But why not?

"Yeah, I am. Why?"

" Because I need a wingman, well wing woman."

I raise a brow

"You still haven't asked out April?"

His eyebrows shot to his hairline.

"How did you know?"
