when i look back at my memories
there's one place i remember,
through a collection of thoughts
there's one that stands out
that shouts to me saying you're irreplaceable,
you're quiet but so sweet
so that's why maybe it's meant to be

because after everything
we have been through
all the good and other times we've faced
when i just get a glance of your face
your words get through and knock the door
as i start to cry when i hear those words
that you once said,
they come to comfort my damaged heart
only you know how to make me feel a way
that i wish i could for eternity

i look back and see you
we do our little wave to say i'll see you again
and i'm certain i'll see you again
because till my last day i'll always be waiting,
waiting for you to grow and develop
into a better version of yourself
that i know you are capable of
and when the time is right
we'll continue to paint the scenery
of us walking together holding hands and all
