Chapter 22 - Lesson on Nanba

The four of us were sitting on the floor, me in Uno's lap, when the door opened.

Kiji: "I am Supervisor Mitsuba, and I will be in charge of you for the day."

We stare up at him.

Kiji: "But you can call me Kiji. Let's. All. Have. Fun."

We recoiled and hugged each other.

Jinx, Uno, Nico & Rock: "STRANGER DANGER!!!"

Kiji: "I've had to deal with a very long commute to get here so you could all stand to show some appreciation!!"

Rock: "What are you talking about? We're in the same prison."

Uno: "Hey, Jyugo, just how big is this prison?"

The four of us became suddenly depressed.

Rock: "Oh yeah, Jyugo isn't here..."

Nico: "He was such a big part of us that we took him for granted."

Jinx: "It doesn't feel right..."

Uno: "It's funny... this cell feels a whole lot bigger now, doesn't it?"

Rock: "Wherever he is... I hope he's eating right..."

Nico: "I don't wanna rush him, but I hope he heals up soon."

Jinx: "Where are you, Jyugo?"

Uno: "......... I guess this'll have to do in the meantime."

Uno stuck a drawn picture of Jyugo's face on a rolled up futon.

Nico: "Aw, I missed you Jyugo."

Rock: "You got his typical expression down pat."

Kiji: "They have no sense of aesthetics at all."

I knelt down and hugged the Jyugo dummy.

Jinx: "It's nice... but it's not the same..."

Kiji: "It's become painfully obvious that none of you know a thing about this prison. So, seeing as we're required to spend this time together, I think I'll give you a short lesson on its layout."

Jinx, Uno, Rock & Nico: "Whaaaat?"

Kiji: "Don't start complaining... here we have a map of Japan."

Suddenly a huge map of Japan appeared on the wall. I jumped behind the boys.

Jinx: "AH! Where did that come from?!"

Rock: "Do we have a projector?"

Kiji: "Nanba prison is located on a remote island located somewhere secret in Japanese territorial waters."

Uno: "If you weren't gonna tell us, why use a map?"

Rock: "Woah, it's huge."

A diagram showed up with all the building's 1 to 13. With headquarters in the middle.

Nico: "That's cool."

Kiji: "In addition to headquarters and the 13 building's devoted to inmate housing. There's also a research facility, an arena, a shopping mall, movie theatres, ski slopes, etcetera."

Jinx: "Yeah... I don't know what half those things are..."

Uno: "Why would you build that crap in a prison? Who's it supposed to be for? "
