I woke up with the sound of mother freaking alarm interrupting my sweet dreams and with that a new alarm clock will be welcomed as the harm I caused to my ex alarm isn't good. After heading towards the washroom I dressed up for office.
I was sitting in my office when Flynn entered .
"Hey Feyre" Flynn called me
"Hey " I said, he was looking very sad yet happy today.
"I wanted to tell you something" He said sadly while rubbing the back of his neck.
"What happened? Anything serious "
"Umm no, you remember my girlfriend Sofia I told you about"
"Yeah what about her" I asked him frowning
I once met his girlfriend Sofia. They both have a long distance relationship but love each other and are loyal. Flynn was like a big brother to me as well as a good friend.
"Nothing about her, I am resigning"He tried to say it as he is okay but failed miserably.
"Wait what? " I was totally shocked by what I just heard.
"Why are you resigning ?"
"We both are getting married this year and we have to settle everything before it. I am moving with her and I have to find a job there as soon as possible" He sighed deeply.
I was very sad as he was my first friend in this office, a big brother to me. Even if we see each other after this , still the moments of happiness he gave me just I these two months are unforgettable.
He helped me whenever I was wrong, his brotherly hugs whenever I was sad, those forehead kisses for love and care just in these two months he became my everything. First person I trusted even though I have trust issues.
"Don't cry dear I am always there for you" he said as he hugged me tightly .
"And anyways I still have some days before I resign so I will make sure everyone one thinks we are couple so no men will try to hit on you. I don't want you to cry over some stupid idiot" He said smiling.
Yup that's the reason he acts flirty with me so that everyone thinks I am off limits. I even complaint to Sofia about it but she was supporting him.
I excepted the fact and tried to concentrate on work but wasn't able to. Usually I sleep when I reach home but today my heart wasn't letting me.
I started playing games but still each minute felt like month right now. I spent my rest of the day either painting or listening to music. I wanted to be with someone I can share my feelings with but as always the fear of loosing them overtook my mind.
Suddenly Luke came and grabbed the hem of my shirt. I stood up as he dragged me towards the entrance of the penthouse. I realised he wanted me to take him on a walk.
We both were walking towards the penthouse at 8 p.m. when a car stopped by. The window of that car rolled down as my eyes met Mr Knights.
"What are you both doing here? He asked us.
"We both are going back to the penthouse" I answered him
He then asked his driver to drive his car back to his house as he wanted to come with us. We were silently walking as there was no one around us but still he covered his face with a cap , glasses and a price of cloth so that no one recognise him.
He suddenly started snickering as he stared my face but ignored.
"What? " I was now annoyed by the fact that he started laughing at me.
"Your face " He started laughing hard after that.
He opened his camera so that I can see my face. Half of my face was covered with different colors. My eyes widened as I realised why earlier some people were staring me.
"You are looking like a joker" He said still trying to control his laugh but again started.
I started hitting him but he pinned both my hands on my back with his one hand and started searching for something inside his pocket.
"Wait"
He took out his handkerchief and started cleaning my face with it. When he was done he stuffed it back in his pockets still smiling as I expected him to release my hands but instead he grabbed my jaw and kissed my cheeks. My eyes widened in surprise as he again laughed.
"Now your face is red" He said as I felt my face heat up. I don't know if it was due to anger, embarrassment or blush.
Before I can hit him again he ran away with Luke and I did the same.
