"If I told you my secrets, you'd never look at me the same."

✰✰✰

This weekend has been more dreadful than usual.

My dad likes to play hide and seek.

He walks around with his bat and if he finds me, he beats me. Usually he doesn't find me... this time he did.

All weekend I have been locked in the bathroom, hiding. I haven't had any food or water since lunch on Friday.

It's now Monday, at lunch.

I'm walking towards the lunch table but I'm not eating. The thought of food right now, repulses me.

No one is at the table yet so I am just laying my head down as I feel completely worn down.

"Camilla, you okay?"

I look up and see Maggie.

I nod and lay my head back down.

I feel two more people sit at the table and already know who they are.

Adrian and Keaton.

"Camilla?"

I look to my right and see Keaton staring at me.

"What the hell happened to you? You look like hell."

I lay my head back down. "I'm fine. Just a little worn out."

I haven't slept either so I'm sure I look like crap.

"A little? You look like you haven't slept in days."

I lift my head up and raise an eyebrow at Keaton.

"When was the last time you ate something?" Maggie asks.

"I don't think I should answer that..." I whisper.

"I'm taking you home so you can eat and sleep." Maggie stands up, grabbing her car keys.

"No! I'm fine, okay?"

I lay my head back down. I hear Adrian, Keaton and Maggie stand up and walk a little ways away from the table and start to whisper.

All of a sudden I hear two pairs of footsteps, running away.

I look up with a confused expression and see Keaton giving me a knowing look.

"Uhh, what's going on?"

"It's clear as day you don't want to go home but you need to eat and sleep so I am taking you to the boxing arena."

I cross my arms over my chest and look the other direction.

"Let's go cupcake." Keaton walks away without saying another word.

Cupcake?

I groan as I stand up.
