After dropping Felix off to his dorms, Jerome and I headed to the coffee shop. When I parked my car there, someone in a motorcycle stopped right in front of us. They pulled off their helmet and fixed their hair.

"I forgot to mention, France came with me." Jerome spoke before getting out of my car.

I don't exactly know France that much, I only met him once when I first talked to Jerome. And that was a year ago. I get out of my car and greet the man.

"France, nice to see you again." He's taller than Jerome. He has broad shoulders and a complimenting small waist. He'd look nice with a corset...

"You too, Ms. Kang. Jerome has caught me up with everything I need to know about the case." He said un buckling his black leather coat.

"Let's get inside and discuss, you two can head up straight to the office while I get us drinks. Coffee or beer? Or wine?" I offered and they both glance at each other.

"Your finest wine will do." France smiled. "Since when did you have wine?" and Jerome gasped.

I just smirked at them before unlocking my cafe's front door. I turn to the kitchen and grab three wine glasses and a bottle of white wine. White wine because we don't want these two to get drunk on the first three glasses, right?

I walked up the stars and enter my office.

"As expected of Jerome, he's trustworthy enough to know your office passcode. He even blocked the view on me." France smirked as he sat cross legged on my sofa.

"After all we've been through? Of course she trusts me. Even if she is cranky and mean to me sometimes, I would jump off a cliff for her."

"Uh huh. Jump off a cliff huh? How would I know your not going to use your special paragliding suit? We all know that it takes more than just a jump off a cliff to kill you." I plainly stated placing the glasses and the bottle down on my center table.

"He'd jump off a cliff with water down below and escape with a speed boat from you! HAHA! Classic." France laughed, hitting his hand on his lap.

"What Jerome? Run away with Ms. Choi? Sounds romantic, right?" I sarcastically said and it made both me and France laugh.

On the other hand, Jerome was looking at us with a bitter taste on his face. "Seems to me you two get along quite well despite only meeting the second time. Anyway, moving forward!"

I serve the first glass for us while Jerome used my computer.

"Any boyfriend yet, YN?" I look up from my drink. France whispered to me.

Felix instantly pops up in my head. But it's not like we're actually a thing right now. Well...What are we?

"Not yet." I simply replied finishing my wine in one go. He turned amused and he leaned back on his seat.

"Not yet." He repeated and I just nodded. "I see."

Umm...weird.

"Here's the good news!" Jerome grabs our attention. "Mr. Kang was taken out of jail by Kim Taepyung but we don't know where they took him yet."

Until the next morning, all we did was dig into more documents and make plans for what to do next.

I figured that maybe getting the police more involved can stir up the enemies' plans so that we can have the advantage.

Next is the ball.

The days passed quickly and things were getting prepared for the fancy event. I can name two persons who are more than excited for it, Jerome and Ms. Choi. Of course, for the last days, they met up and kept looking at each other. It would have been bearable if they didn't some so much constant flirting in front of my face. Give some respect on the stressed and single.

Because I've been so busy with my job and other things, I haven't seen Felix. But we do casually text and call whenever we can.

The kiss we had that night...the feeling still tickles on my lips.

"Good afternoon, Boss." I turn my vision toward the glass doors of my office. France has come in with a handful of folders. "Ms. Choi said that these are your left over projects from the company. I think you'll be having overtime again."

He places down the folders on the free space on my desk I can only sigh and shut my eyes for a rest. "Thanks for bringing them to me. Although Ms. Choi should've been the one to give them. I can't even fire her for not doing her job."

I can sense the smirk on his face. "Ms. Choi is indeed a very important person you don't want to lose. Her contact information is quite intriguing."

"She has the best connections I can ever ask for. I wouldn't be here at this chair without her help."

I hear him hum and take a seat on the couch. "So, when do you plan on getting married?"

This bastard, out of nowhere? Irritated, I open my eyes to glare at him. "I'm not even close to 30."

"Well, I am." He firmly presses on as if his making a point.

"And why does that concern me?" He leans back on his seat and laughs.

"I knew you could be so cold! I'm just trying to let you know that I'm looking for a lover."

"And so? Should I set you up on a blind date with a woman your age or do you prefer older ones with lots of cash? Whichever you pick, I am sure they can take care of you."

His laugh died down to a slight smile. "Uh, I think I'll pass. I don't think I can rely on you on this kind of thing."

I shrug and close my eyes again. But sadly I was interrupted by a knock.

"Sorry to disturb you Ma'am, but someone named Hwang Hyunjin is looking for you down at the café."

Hwang Hyunjin? Isn't he friends with Felix? Why would he be looking for me?

"Alright, I'll be right down." My employee left and I stood up and peek through my blinds to see him down the stairs.

"Do you know him?" France asks.

"An acquaintance of a friend. Stay here would you?" I tell him before grabbing my phone and leaving the room.

"Bring some wine when you come back." he said as I got out.

It's only been a few days, but he treats me like we're close.

"Kang YN?" He focused on me.

"Hwang Hyunjin, right? It's nice to meet you."

He's pretty tall and has a nice body figure, a charming pretty face to top it all off. But why is his expression concerning?

"I need your help, YN. It's about Felix." He said slowly and carefully. He sighed and pressed his lips together a few times.

"Felix? Did something happen?" Just to add with all of my problems, but Felix instantly becomes my number one priority unconsciously.
