Namjoon sat down on his desk with his eyes half closed. It was just past seven in the morning. Though he tried to fight the sleep, he couldn't help it.

Hoseok knocked on the door awaking him. He straightened up blinking rapidly to adjust his blurry eyesight.

"Good morning sir. Jin wanted me to give you this."

Namjoon took the package almost immediately. His heart started racing a little. He did admit that his infatuation with Jin was getting stronger by the day. It was ridiculous to begin with.

A nearly thirty year old crushing on his physician was pretty absurd. A few ideas of going to visit him had crossed his mind more than once.

In the end he couldn't bring himself to do it. Love wasn't part of his life. He already risked losing his brother on the daily. To have a lover would only complicate things even more.

When he saw the two syringes of medicine in the box his hope that Jin was possibly interested died. It was a sour reminder that this was the only relationship that could ever exist between them.

Provider and patient.

"Your endocrinologist left them for you and he asked me to deliver them. As well as the appointment reminder for your three month check up."

"Thank you." He murmured putting them in his drawer along with the other medications.

"You're welcome sir. Can I do anything else for you?"

Namjoon closed his laptop and rested his elbows on the table. "I've been meaning to ask you, is there any updates on Jungkook?"

Hoseok tried to keep a straight face. Every time Jungkook's name was brought up it made his heart stop for a brief second.

The guilt of putting him in danger was something that never left his mind. Perhaps he was plainly selfish for wanting Jungkook in his life. All he wanted was to protect him and love him.

And yet he still put him in danger.

"Nothing sir. I've been following him around throughout the day and he's not done a suspicious thing. He continues to work at the club. Other than that, nothing new."

"Very well. I suppose you can stop following him around for now. If he has realized that he's being followed he won't do anything. I'll let you know when to resume."

"Understood sir."

"One more thing, are you managing well? I hate to put you in charge of many things at once. If you'd like I can put someone at charge of the video surveillance so you can take a break."

"No sir. That's not necessary. I'm managing well. I check the videos at least every two days. I'm sleeping well. It's okay." He quickly added.

"Very well. You can leave."

Hoseok bowed down and excused himself out of the room. Even if he wasn't managing well he couldn't give up the video surveillance.

Not after he saw Yoongi sneak into Jimin's room for an hour past midnight. As long as Yoongi had kept his secret he deserved that too.

Even if if was prohibited.

Yoongi quickly opened both eyes hearing the door open. Taehyung walked out buttoning up his shirt. His hair looked damped like he had just showered.

"Morning Yoongi. I'm going to eat breakfast and head out for a meeting and will be back later tonight. Do you need me to call a guard for you to rest?"

"I'm good sir. Thank you."

Taehyung smiled, "I stand by what I say, you're the best employee I have. I'll see you later."

Yoongi nodded watching him walk away. If he was the best employee and swore loyalty to his family, why was he suddenly going against everything for Jimin? A sudden memory flashed over him as the elevator door closed behind.

"My father passed," Taehyung said looking up at him. Both Namjoon and him were clam and collected not showing any sign of grief.

Yoongi wondered if they were this way because of their lifestyle. Had they become so heartless because of it? Would Yoongi be this way too?

"I know you were his right hand and that you've served my father since you were seventeen. As his new replacement, I want you to be my right hand as well. My father trusted you with his life and you've given him nothing but loyalty. I expect the same from you. If you do not wish to serve us anymore that's understandable. You have the right to decline my offer. However, you will still be taken care of financially even if you no longer work for us. That's what my father would've wanted. What do you say?"

Yoongi answered without hesitation. He was ready and committed to serve them like he served his father for years.

"It would be an honor to continue to serve you and your family. Your father saved my mother by giving me a job. I will forever be grateful towards him. It's only fair if I protect his family like he's protected mine."

Yoongi snapped out of the flashback feeling himself at fault. Betraying Taehyung. That's exactly what he was doing. Maybe he wasn't physically doing it, but he was with his mind.

He nibbled the inside of his cheek as he lightly knocked on the door. Jimin didn't answer and he took it as a hint from destiny that he should leave it alone.

Then again, his mind started playing tricks on him. What if Jimin was still semi drunk and had hurt himself? What if he had tripped in the shower?

Without overthinking it, he busted through the door. Jimin was still soundly asleep in his bed. The door closed behind him and he looked back at it.

Finally, he made up his mind and headed to him. A quick checkup wouldn't hurt. He approached him quietly trying to not wake him up.

He kneeled on the floor next to him. The sight broke his heart into pieces. There was hickeys on his chest, markings on his wrists and minimal scratches on his upper back.

Yoongi clenched his fists furiously.  It's like the loyalty and guilt he felt for betraying Taehyung were gone. All he felt was frustration and anger for putting Jimin through this.

The wrath that projected through him was too strong to produce anything but tears. He swallowed down his emotions as soon as Jimin moved.

Jimin had turned his head and his breathing quickened murmuring under his breath. His expression looked pained.

It was a nightmare.

Yoongi reached over to grab his face. Out of instinct, he leaned his face on his hand drifting back to deep sleep. The comfort he felt from touching his skin was immense.

The heart racing, the underarm sweat, and the jittery sensation within him was all so unknown to him. Was this love?

Yoongi leaned over closer to Jimin and pressed his lips on his forehead. His breath hitched as his stomach felt unsteady. Slowly moving back to his place he looked at him throughly.

Then he realized that's where the problem had started. The moment Jimin invaded his thoughts and unpacked himself like he was the owner of his psyche.

It was at that moment Yoongi became conscious of how much Jimin meant to him. The moment he idealized himself in Jimin's life in the stories that hadn't been written yet.

Yoongi had never experienced all of these indecisive emotions at once. He never could comprehend how Jimin could feel so deeply.

How he could cry, laugh, and be angry. It's like his mind was rewired to be so heartless he forgot everything else.

Today he happened to feel more human than ever.
