Hesitantly you open up your eyes. 'Where... am I?'

You try to stand up but quickly regret the decision as your legs immediately give in because of the tremendous pain.

'Ok ok, no use of legs for today. Sadistic gnome is still a bítch. Normally I would say in a situation like this 'Hey, I think it is a good time to make an escape. I am not going to stay in a hellhole like this.' but no, he had to break both of my legs. I am aware that it is partially my fault, but he was the one who forced me to come with him in the first place. Let me see a plain room with a small window, patched up legs, a headache and no Rosa. Better than I expected, though I do need to wait for somebody to come nevertheless... I am not going to jump out of a window with such useless legs.'

Time passes and you grow impatient. 'I could be searching for Cocogoat or the Adeptis right now... Aether is probably worried about me, or is he? Do I really matter to the people in this world? Maybe I am even causing more damage than I am doing good... Where did that negativity come from?'

The door opens revealing the Harbinger with the large hat. 'Morning puppy. Are you going to bark again or will you be decent for once in your lifetime?'

'He will never call me by my normal name ever again as it looks like... Believe me, I would love to bite off your head.' 

You stare at the ceiling. 'I am too tired to bark.'

'Meaning that you would bark if you were in a better condition. I guess that is to be expected with somebody as stubborn as you, but we have time haven't we?'

Even though you don't see Scaramouche you can basically feel him smirking. The expression on you face on the other hand remains neutral. 'Probably.'

'You don't know for certain?'

'Not my field of expertise. Everything I know of the future doesn't include my existence.' 

'That's good to kno-', the indigo-haired male is interrupted by noises that come from downstairs. 'What is wrong now? God, is everyone useless now?', he storms off to check for the source of his anger.

Now you are left alone again. '...If I think about it, falling to death is better than staying with him and waiting to actually get my will broken. There is a high enough chance that I will survive, so out of the window with me. I can fetch Rosa later.'

Mainly using your arms you crawl towards your hope to escape and even manage to get through. The pain is immense but your will to get out is greater. Sitting down on the roof you look around. 'Still in Liyue. Maybe somebody can get me down here...'

You spot Childe walking down the street all alone. 'Somebody who isn't part of the Fatui please.'

The next person you can recognize is Hu Tao. '...Oh well, better to get to know your undertaker before dying. MISS HU TAO, WOULD YOU BE SO KIND TO HELP ME DOWN FROM THIS ROOF?'

Luckily she hears you. 'IN TERMS OF GETTING YOU A COFFIN OR DO YOU WANT ME TO CATCH YOU?'

'THE SECOND OPTION IF POSSIBLE.'

'How does no by-passer question this?'

The funeral director positions herself in a way making it possible for her to catch you. She spreads her arms signaling you that she is ready.

'ARE YOU SURE THAT THIS WILL WORK WITHOUT ANY AID?'

Hu Tao doesn't change her position and simply smiles as an answer. In combination with the lights and the wind blowing through her hair she really looks beautiful.

You are ready to roll down the small rooftop but hesitate for a short moment.

'...What if she is just joking? I do remember that she is supposed to be some sort of prankster...  Would this even count as a prank though? Eh, still better than torture.', you think and jump into her arms.

To your surprise she catches you quite well. Only the contact of your feet with the ground is something she can't prevent.

'Didn't expect that you would actually jump. Hey... are you alright? Your hug is a bit suffocating.', even though your arms are wrapped too tight around her she hugs you back.

'...no...my legs...need to go...quick...', you wince quietly.

The girl looks down and notices the masses of bandages around your legs. Concluding that you probably had a serious reason to choose a roof as your exit in your condition she puts your left arm around her shoulder supporting you as far as she can. 'Any wishes where to bring you?'

'Doesn't matter. Just away.'

She starts to run with you leaning on her. 'I am curious what your explanation will be~'

Just to note down: Next week there will be (probably) almost no updates as I'll be out of town. Sorry for that.
