Being a hero was not something that was new to Steve Rogers. Yet, there was something about fighting aliens that made him rethink life itself. Perhaps it had something to do with sitting next to a literal Norse God while eating Shwarma that made him rethink even the simplest of answers.

"So, Capsicle," Tony Stark began, after drinking whatever was in his cup. "What was it like? You know, back with the dinosaurs?"

Tony Stark, the famous Iron Man. He was definitely his father's son. Steve noted the same air of carelessness that surrounded both of them. Both had the same dark hair and eyes. While Howard typically sported a simple mustache, Tony had an entire goatee.

"Interesting," Steve remarked, rolling his eyes. "I watched a tyrannosaurus rex strolling through Central Park with a bright pink tutu."

While most of the Avengers laughed at Steve's remark, Thor did not.

"Man of Flag, did you slay the beast?" Thor asked, his pale eyes furrowed in concern. "I've heard tales of them on Asguard."

Thor is the Norse God of thunder. He was most definitely not in Nick Fury's plans when he formed the Avengers. Yet, the blonde god didn't seem too keen on sitting out on the fight. Especially seeing as it was his brother or his adopted brother as Thor reminded them, that was caused all of the problems.

"Thor-"

Natasha sent Steve a look that clearly said not to try telling Thor that dinosaurs went extinct billions of years ago.

Natasha Romanoff, or the Black Widow, was the biggest mystery to Steve. There were only four things he knew about her; she has red hair, she works for S.H.I.E.L.D, she can trick the God of Mischief, and she can fight very well.

"I mean this without any jokes," Bruce Banner began. His black hair sat messily atop his head. "What did you do back in the 1940s? Like, for fun and stuff?"

"Honestly," Natasha smirked. "What did you do without music? Dance to the sound of animals?"

"That was absolutely hysterical, Romanoff," Steve rolled his eyes before answering Banner's question. "I spent most of my winters sick, but when I wasn't I was with my best friend and sister. I always found myself getting beaten up in an alley, and they'd get me out of it."

"I'd pay to see that," Tony snorted.

"What's your sister like?" Clint Barton asked. "My da-niece is a huge fan."

"She's pretty much what the public makes her out to be," Steve said, his blue eyes growing dark with sadness. "She was brave, and very open about how she felt about things. She was smart, brilliant even. She could figure things out nearly twice a fast as anyone else. She loved the small things about life, how a dandelion could represent new beginnings."

"She sounds so peaceful," Bruce said softly.

"Yeah . . . she also appreciated how easy it was to strangle someone with her blue ribbon," Steve said nonchalantly, causing Clint to spat out his water.

"Sounds like my kind of person," Natasha grinned wickedly.

Steve chuckled, not denying that Natasha and Marlene would be very good friends.

And good friends would they be.
