"I don't want to go!" A small five year old blonde whisper hissed at her brother who dragged her by the hand.

"Stubborn as hell." Derek cursed under his breath before turning to face the small girl with a sickeningly sweet smile on his lips. "Aires." He whispered whilst mustering up the softest tone he could whilst attempting to conceal the humour that laced his words as a smile pulled at his lips.

"Don't make me go in." She begged. "I promise i'll be good, I will cause no trouble- none-"

A small squeal flew past her lips as Derek suddenly scooped her into his arms and threw her over his shoulder. It was the only effective way to get her into school, and it seemed to have been working. A smile played at the older Hales lips as his little sister threw small punches into his back, he knew she was going to be a handful to whoever she made friends with, and he whilst he wanted her to make friends, he pitied whoever became friends with her and had to endure the wrath that was Aires Hale.

Shaking his head, Derek put down his little sister who wore a face of thunder, unamused and unwilling to walk into her new school. It wasn't that she didn't want to go to school, she wanted to escape her home- it was that she didn't want to leave her brothers side.

"Aires Hale." Derek muttered whilst staring at his sister with a soft smile on his lips. "You are going to have an amazing time. You're going to make new friends, do new things. This is a fresh start, okay? Things are going to be different now. So, go meet some new people you little ball of chaos."

With a heavy sigh and a murderous scowl on her face, Aires spun on her heel and stomped her way across the school playground, one that had two boys already at it. She had no intention of speaking to them, however if Derek saw her with other people he would be more likely to leave, and she would be able to escape school and go back home.

Huffing and puffing she slid onto the bench and came face to face with two jaw dropped boys. The paler boy with a buzzcut stared at the girl in amazement, quickly, he elbowed the boy to his side to gain his attention. Both boys kept their eyes locked onto the angry blonde as glared at them with pure rage. It should have scared them, but it didn't.  Something twinkled in the boy's honey eyes as he cleared his throat to speak.

"Hi," he softly whispered with wide eyes and a ghost of a smile on his lips, starstruck by the girl.

With a scowl, the girl shot daggers at him, causing the boy with the mop of brown hair by his side to burst out into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

"What's so funny?" She hissed with narrowed eyes.

"I like you, you're funny," he replied, sparking the girls curiosity.

A frown tugged at her lips as Aires slightly tilted her head to the side, attempting to work out if he was stupid or a psychopath. Nobody should have found her glare funny, at least nobody her own age. People didn't usually laugh at her, they panicked, called her names. Nobody had ever thought she was funny, they thought she was scary. Usually her glares caused an eruption of raging screams from her family- and yet at school, it was completely different.

"What are you looking at?" Aires snapped at the pale boy by his friends side, the boy who had yet to take his eyes off of the girl.

"I- uh, um, you're really pretty." He choked out in a panicked mumble before his face flushed a deep red and he dropped his eyes onto his lap.
