"Mama do my hair?"
"What I would you like done little witch" I asked running fingers through her still damp hair
"Braid it?" She asked
"I can do that... but you know who does the best braids" she looked at me curiously
"Auntie Nat" I told her
"I'm sure if you ask her she'll braid it for you" I told her and she grabbed the brush before going off the find Natasha
Natasha POV
"Hey little witch" I greeted her as she walked into the room
"Auntie nat?" She asked making me turn all my attention to her
"Yes y/n"
"Can you braid my hair?" She asked holding up a brush
"Sure thing pumpkin" I sat y/n in between my legs as I sat on the couch and she sat on the floor
"You have the prettiest hair" I told her as I braided
"I have mamas hair" she told me smiling widely
"You do. Your definitely your mothers child" I giggled at her.
I soon noticed Wanda smiling from the door way.
"What are you smiling about" I teased and she can go sit by us
"Nothing I just love to see her happy" she smiled rubbing her daughters back slightly
"You know your gonna have to start missions again soon" I told her
"I know. Do you think she'll be okay without me?" She asked
"I'm sure. Maybe we should do a trial run.let pepper take her for a day and some and you can go out. Or something" I suggested and she looked as if she was thinking hardly on it.
"I think she could really benefit from that honestly...and she's pretty comfortable with pepper already which is reassuring" she said after a moment
"I'm going to call pepper" she said leaving the room
"Pepper?" Y/n asked as I finished up her first braid moving onto the next one
"Yeah you mommys going to talk to pepper. I think you guys might hang out" I told her
"Do you like pepper?" I asked and her nodded rapidly making me chuckle slightly as I straightens her eyes level so I wouldn't mess up her braid
Wanda soon entered the room Again
"You have a date set?" I asked and she nodded
"Next weekend....god what have I done" she held her head in her hands starting to regret the plans she just made for her little one
"She'll be just fine. You guys could use some time apart I'm sure" I reassured her
"You know I could always take her. You know if you wanted or if she wanted" I told her softly
"Really nat? You would do that"
"Oh course...I love you guys"
"Aright little miss. Your done" I announced after a minute of silence
she stood up smiling reaching her hands around to feel the two French braids I did
"There so pretty baby! What do you say to auntie nat"
"Thank youuu" she hugged her tightly
"You are so welcome принцесса" (princess/princessa)
I giggled slightly patting her back
She released me running off
"Hey bug where you headed" Wanda called after her
"I gotta go show my buddy" she said poking her head in for a moment before running back out
We were both giggling at her. When you could very obviously hear her fall down the steps. Followed by loud crys. More like screams.
Wanda and I quickly jumped up and she jumped right into action as soon as we reached the small girl sobbing on the floor
"Oh babygirl" Wanda picked her bouncing her in her arms putting one hand on the back of her head and one hand supporting her softly placed under her butt
Wandas POV
My poor girl. She couldn't have fallen down much more that 5 or 6 steps but I can imagine that she's hurt and startled
"Owwieee" she cried
"Shhh baby tell mommy what you hurt" I cooed walking her into the kitchen and sitting her in the counter
She tried to grab back onto me. I allowed her to hold onto my hand.
"You need to breathe honey" I told her when she started to cough I patted her back
I saw Natasha out of the corner of my eye grab a back of peas and hold it to y/ns leg
"I found it" she told me moving the bag slightly so I could see what she noticed
A bruise was forming on the outside of her thigh
"Oh my god." I gasped running the pads of my finger across it making y/n cry harder scooting slightly away from my touch.
"Sorry bug" I apologized I took the bag from nat holding it in the same position moving to the couch so I could hold her.
I cradled her in my arms making sure to keep the ice to her thigh that wasn't smushed into my stomach
"You alright y/n" I asked stroking her hair with my free hand She only nodded she was no longer crying just little hiccups And her breathing still hitched occasionally
"You want me to call you buddy in here?" I asked and she nodded
"J.A.R.V.I.S" I called
"Yes miss maximoff" she responded
"Could you tell Steve that Y/n had requested to see him please?"
"Yes ma'm..right away ma'm" he said
Soon Steve walked into the room
"What happened buddy" he asked frowning at the sight
"She was trying to get to your room so she could show you her hair and she fell down the steps" nat explained
"I'm sorry buddy are you okay?" She only nodded
"For what it's worth your hair is really pretty" she said sitting next to us
"What do you say baby" I smiled
"Thank you" she said smiling softly
"There's that little smile" I cooed kissing the corner of her mouth close to her cheek a few times
