Do offer prayer five times a day, do keep vow of fasting,
Do have a pilgrimage to Mecca for Hajj celebrating.
Do read Kalima and give Zakaat to poor,
These are compulsory for Muslims, not optional sure.
Zakaat means to give surplus wealth to the needy,
Not admissible to poor who lacks of wealth already.
Rest of the three is bounden duty to all,
From huge earners to less earnings or small.
Very often we forget to perform our obligation,
Even having blessed with wealth, no surplus money go to Zakaat foundation.
We have a propensity to be absorbed in futility,
We are in the habit of taking optional liability.
Taking the shelter of Sunnah, we keep a long beard,
Wearing a fez on head we play forward.
We give advice to others, have a practice of prayer,
But we don't have practised except friday due to worldly affair.
During the month of Ramadan we avoid of fasting,
Shamefully we do urge for eating.
Why do we not learn to have a practice of austerity,
Why do we keep a distance from religious formality.
What is prohibited and what is allowed to have,
What is simple way or what does mean rag-tag.
All we know! Yet we give more importance to optional service,
Would we adopt must have policy? Oh that's rubbish!
