"-i don't think you're doing it right." nini giggled as she sat at the counter

it had been four days since they got the call from jenn. ricky and nini have been living together and it was honestly everything they could ever want in being together. they went to sleep and woke up to each other, they spent their days together at home doing whatever came to mind; reading, playing games, watching movies, baking, among other things...

it was a perfect bubble. one they desperately wanted to savor and hold onto for as long as they could.

"how many other ways are there to cook a pancake?" ricky asked in confusion as he tried flipping it, but failing miserably

"need help?" she asked with a grin, standing up

"no." he said firmly "i'll just-"

he takes the pan and pushes up, causing for the pancakes to fly out of the pan and flip, but not landing on the pan rather than on the wooden floor at nini's feet

nini looked down at the pancakes before up at her boyfriend, who had his mouth parted as he rubbed the back of his neck, putting the pan back on the stove

"there's cereal." he nodded, walking towards the cabinet as the girl shook her head with a light chuckle and bending down to pick up the two pancakes as she held them in her hands

"ricky, one of them is burnt and the other isn't even cooked." she laughed, holding them up for him to see

the boy looked over at her as he set two bowls down on the table and shrugged his shoulders "i'm not a cook!"

"i can see that," she nodded, throwing the un-eatable food in the bin before dusting her hands on each other as she took the packet of cereal

"you know, it's been only four days, don't you think the media's calmed down by now?" ricky asked genuinely, taking the milk as he poured it in the bowl

nini sighed as she took the packet and poured the cereal in hers "i don't think so. jenn still hasn't called me, so."

"what about gina and them?"

"well, i texted gina to let her and the others know that i'm going underground," she explained, ricky nodding "what about you?"

"same." he said simply, pouring the cereal into the milk

nini shook her head "i can't believe you do that."

"what?" he asked confused

"it's supposed to be cereal first, dummy." she grinned, taking a mouthful of the food

"it tastes better this way." he justifies

nini looked back at him, knitting her eyebrows "it tastes the exact same-"

"then why the fuss about putting cereal first?" he asked, a smirk growing on his face as he leaned towards her

nini opened her mouth before gasping "because it messes with the psychological mind."

"okay neens," ricky sighed with a chuckle, the girl smiling in triumph as she continued eating while ricky kept glancing at her

nini looked back at him "what's going on in that pretty little head of yours?"

"aw, you think i'm pretty?" he asked with his eyes lighting up and a grin formed

she gave him a look "ricky,"

"what? it's nothing," he shrugged aimlessly, continuing to eat before she lightly tapped him on the shoulder

"come on! i'm curious now." she pleaded with a frown

ricky sighed, leaving his spoon as he faced her "i just love having you back here." he said simply

nini felt her heart flutter as she looked back at him with a genuine smile "really?"

ricky nodded "yeah..."

"i love being back here too." she replied softly, feeling him intertwine their fingers together as her smile grew

they both sat there for a moment, their hands interlocked as they finished their food in a comfortable silence before nini gasped

"come on, we have to finish watching the series," she said excitedly, still holding his hand and guiding him to the couch in the living room

"you love this show more than me, don't you?" ricky asked jokingly, the two of them sitting on the couch as nini pressed on the play button for the netflix series.

"depends." she grinned, leaning back against his shoulder

"'no bubs, i love you more than anything in the entire world.' see? it's not that hard." ricky told her, looking down as she giggled and looked up at him

"hey bubs." she beamed

"hey angel." he replied softly

"i love you more than anything in the entire world."

ricky smiled widely as he leaned in to capture her lips on his, both their hearts swelling as they pulled apart and he leaned his forehead against hers

"i love you more than anything in the world too." he whispered

"the entire world." she corrected

ricky nodded "the entire world."

nini smiled at him as the two returned their attention to the tv, both still in each other's arms and comfort, unaware of how soon they would have to face reality of the world.
