Gandhari hit her womb, wailing loudly. Karn recollected his father, Lord Suryadev's words,

"Son,dying for your friend is not true friendship. Making him live is true friendship."

He knew his friend had realized his mistake. He turned to Vasudev

"What is the point in realizing his mistake when he dies? Everyone deserves another chance, don't they?"

Krishna could see the pain in his cousin's eyes. He gently replied,

"It was his choice to punish himself...do you really think disrobing a woman was right?...Did he ever deserve to live?" Krishna asked placing his hand on his shoulder

"The evil side of a person cannot be ignored...but the positive side cannot be ignored either..." Karna said

"Samraat Karn, you see the positive side in all sorts of people...but their negativity depends on how much pain they induce in others...do you know how Draupadi's soul was screaming for help?"

Karna took a glance at his wife. He turned back to Vasudev,

"Things would have been different if you had not married Draupadi..." Vasudev smiled

"What? Does that mean things would have been different...like was there a chance to have Duryodhan?" Karna asked politely

"Maybe...or maybe not...we could've lost you as well...who knows?" Krishna smiled shrugging

"I've failed my promise...I've failed as a friend..." Karna began hitting himself when Gandhari stopped him

"You're the only son left for me..." she shouted and slapped Karna

"I'm sorry...Mata..."

Dridhrashtr was burning in pain when he heard she wails of Gandhari. All his sons had died. Aswatthama was enraged at the fact that Karn supported the Pandavas.

"You killed my friends and father...I'll finish off your whole dynasty..." He summoned the powerful nuclear weapon, Brahmastra and directed it directly towards Abhimanyu's wife, Uttara's womb . The fetus was destroyed immediately, causing a severe pain in Uttara's womb. This enraged Lord Krishna, who in return cursed Ashwatthama to stay alive forever begging for death as death would never come to him. Ashwatthama immediately developed diseases and shrunk in his place, when the gem from his forehead was taken back by the Lord. Lord Krishna resurrected the baby in her womb.

Krishn composed himself for a few moments and told Uttara,

"The baby is pure...because it died and got resurrected again...he will be named Prikshit..." Krishna smiled.

"Welcome! My dear younger brother!" He hugged Karna and continued

"Welcome to Yamlok..."

"What brings you here, brother?..." Yamraj asked his younger demi-god brother, who had come all his way from earth to Yamlok

"Nothing...I just wished to meet you..." Karn smiled and continued talking.

"Of course...if you want anything, you can ask me..." Yamraj said sitting on his throne.

"Anything?...."

"Yes...anything..."

"Is that a promise, brathashree?"

"Of course, Karn...that's my promise...I'll give you anything you wish for..." Yamraj said and continued

"I'm sure Yudhistir had taken after me..." he proudly said

"Yes brathashree...he's just like you...he never goes back on his word..." Karn smiled

"You were asking something..." Yamraj questioned

"Is it true that dead people become pure if they are resurrected?" Karna asked thinking

"Hmm...that's somewhat true...because it is like a new birth for them...a new chance to live their old lives..."

"Can I ask you for something?" Karn asked trying to get his elder brother back to conversation

"Of course...I've promised you!"

"...Since you've promised me, can you resurrect the hundred sons of Gandhari?' Karna asked shrugging mischievously, shocking Yamraj.
