Silence, a peaceful silence loomed around us, as you stayed cuddled together under the blanket with me. The change from storm and cold to serene and glorious weather, from dark and rough nights to bright and calm ones, our journey until now was a very tough one, indeed. Your head rested on my chest, listening to my calm heartbeats harmonising with yours, as you slept in my arms, unperturbed.
It all still felt like a dream and if it indeed was a dream, I didn't want to wake up from it ever. Seeing the love that clouded your eyes for me was the sight I could never get tired of, I wanted to cherish it forever, until my last breath. My fingers tangled with your silky hair as I gently massaged your head, careful not to wake you up.
The soft and calm breaths falling off your lips felt like a sweet-toned song to my ears, melodious.The silver orb of the moon was reflected from the window glass as they fell on your soft skin, highlighting your attractive features. I was drowned towards you, captivated by your heavenly beauty, you were the belle of my world.
My hand moved to pull your body even more closer to me, making it easier for me to kiss your temple. Slipping my hand under your shirt, I placed it on your soft tummy as I closed my eyes resting my chin on top of your head. It didn't take much longer for the haziness to take over my senses, as I drifted off to dreamland while being in your arms. I felt at home.
