The train to Hogwarts seems to be moving as slow as ever. I don't remember much from last night. Draco and Blaise bandaged my hand up for me and then I went to sleep without saying goodnight. Only I couldn't sleep. I lay there thinking things over and over in my head. It seems that I know nothing. I'm completely clueless.
I haven't seen Mum and Dad in ages and I don't particularly want to either. The only thing I can think to do it's focus on the school year ahead of me and put all that out of my mind.

Blaise sits next to me and Draco is across from me his legs pulled up onto the seat, his back slouched on the window.
I feel bad for ignoring them last night but I know they'll understand.
"(Y/N), you alright?", Blaise asks, noticing how quiet I've been since we got on the train.
"Fine", I smile widely.
"How are you guys. I'm really excited".
My severely happy tone seems to have thrown them off guard.
"What?", I ask looking at their confused faces.
"I don't know. We just expected you to be...different I guess. You know, after last night", Draco says gently.
"Why would I be? I'm fine, trust me. I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts again", I grin.
"Are you sure you're alright?", Blaise asks.
"Merlins beard", I sigh, "I'm perfectly fine. Can you two stop acting so weird", I roll my eyes at them.
"Okay okay", Blaise says.
"You want anything from the trolley?", Draco looks at me as the trolley begins to approach our carriage.
"A chocolate frog please!", Blaise smiles sweetly at him.
"I was asking (Y/N) you pig", he gets up and shakes his head.
"And me, of course", Blaise says.
Draco rolls his eyes. "(Y/N)?".
"Nah I'm fine", I say.
"Three chocolate frogs please", Draco asks the trolley witch despite me saying I didn't want anything.
"Draco!", I plead.
He simply winks at me and throws a chocolate frog in my direction.
Blaise exchanges a look at the both of us and grins to himself.
"Something the matter Blaise?", Draco asks.
"Not at all. Just enjoying my choccy frog mate", he says.
"Choccy frog", I laugh.
Draco sighs. "It's going to be a long year".
"Oh come on. It'll be great. At least we're not first years anymore", Blaise mumbles, his mouth full of chocolate.
"I suppose", Draco replies gloomily.
"I'm excited for herbology", I say.
"Of course you are", Draco says.
"What's that supposed to mean?", I ask.
Draco and Blaise laugh at me.
"Surprised you're not sitting with the gryffinbores (Y/N)", Draco teases.
"Not this again", I sigh.
"Just saying", he holds up his hands innocently.
"On that note I'm going to go and say hello to them", I shoot a daring look at Draco.
"I thought you'd forgotten", Draco says and I roll my eyes.

I walk along the carriage hallway, peering into carriages. I wave to the twins who are sitting with Dean and Seamus.
They wave back and grin widely.
I walk along a bit and spot the trio.
I smile to myself as I open the carriage door.
"Miss me?", I grin.
"(Y/N)!", they say at once.
I hug them each one by one and sit down next to Hermione.
"How are you all?", I ask.
"Great", Harry responds.
"Brilliant", Ron smiles.
"Better now that you're here", Hermione adds.
"How was Malfoys then?", Harry asks, a tone of jealousy in his voice.
"Good. Great. Really...interesting", I mumble.
Hermione raises her eyebrows at me.
"It was...I don't know if I should say", I frown.
"You can trust us. You know that", Ron says.
"Draco's dad is...peculiar", I begin to whisper.
"Like father like son", Harry adds.
I shoot a look at Harry who avoids eye contact with me.
"He's nothing like his father", I say sternly followed by an awkward silence.
"I'm screwed for potions", Ron says abruptly.
"Why?", Hermoine asked.
"I can't remember anything. Snapes gonna kill me", he gulps.
"He'd kill you even if you did remember anything", Harry sighs.
"True", I say in my head.
"I'll give you some help don't worry", Hermione says.
"Really?", he says astonished.
"Really?", Harry adds.
"Yes. Why so surprised?", she says.
"Well usually when I ask you to do my homework you get mad", Ron says.
"I am not, I repeat not doing your homweork for you. I'm simply helping you do it yourself. That would be cheating Ronald.", she says hiding a smile.
"You really are amazing Hermione", Ron beams.
She rolls her eyes and me and Harry smile at each other as we both know despite Hermione protests that she will end up doing Ron's work for him.
I relax into my seat and close my eyes slightly, getting comfortable.

"(Y/N)!", a voice booms.
I feel an arm on my shoulder.
My eyes shoot open. Did I fall asleep again.
"You fell asleep", Ron says, answering my question.
I sit up.
"We're here", Harry smiles.
"Finally", Hermione gets up shoving a book in her trunk.
"Let's go then", Harry says.
"I need to go get my stuff. I'll see you in there okay?", I say.
"See you soon", Hermione grins.

We took the carriage way up and arrived at the castle   shortly.
I sit comfortably in the great hall next to Blaise and across from Draco who are gazing up at Dumbledore who is giving his annual start of year speech.
The first years have just been sorted and the Slytherin table is pretty crowded. A tall first year boy sits next to us called Adrian Pucey who seems quite nice.

"Excited for the new year then?", Blaise asks tucking in to his meal.
"Meh", Draco replies.
"Cheer up Draco", I grab a cup of butter beer from the middle of the table and shove it towards him.
"Your favourite", I smile and he takes a sip and smiles back weakly.
"Ive got a bad feeling about this year", he says dismally.
"Why?", Blaise mumbles with a mouthful of food.
"I'll tell you later", Draco says.
I shrug my shoulders at Blaise and tuck into my dinner.
