Chapter 16 《Intruders》

Waking up you slowly sat up in bed before letting out a yawn and tired groan as you stretch your arms out and just stare at your room blankly. This morning was just one of those mornings where you just wanted to go back to sleep and honestly do nothing for the day, but that's can't necessarily be done when you're a pro hero.

"Are you awake?" You hear Keigo ask from outside your door, taking a moment and just blinking as you look at the door waiting for your brain to wake up as you let out another yawn, "mhmmm" you responded tiredly as you swing your legs over the bed and make your way over to your door.

With your eyes still just opening, you open your door to make your way out to your kitchen only to be met with Keigos body causing you to stumble back, "whoa-" he says with an airy laugh as he catches your stumbling form, "you're still asleep, come on sleepy I made breakfast."

You let out yet another yawn as you grudgingly shuffle your way to the kitchen with Keigo basically ushering you from behind.

"Wha... what time was the event again?" You asked mid yawn as you tiredly munched on your food. Keigo couldn't help but laugh a little to himself seeing how adorable your sleepy form is, "2 but we have to be there a little earlier to get checked in. I think they said it would end around 5 or 6." You hummed in response blinking tiredly as you take a sip of your (coffee/ tea/ juice/ etc..).

~Time Skip~
It was nearing the end of the event which was a charity event consisting of interviews and fan meetings with various pro heroes and currently at this time all the heroes who were there were doing a group picture with fans. You who was situated between Keigo and Thirteen had let out a little sigh before smiling for the camera again. At that point, not that the event wasn't enjoyable or anything but during the event your social battery was honestly running low and you were more than ready to leave and just relax.

However since there was still some time left before the ends, you sucked it up and continued on smiling and enjoying the rest of the event, but since Keigo was next to you, you instinctually grabbed on to the bottom of Keigos jacket and just gently held onto it.

A habit that you use to do a lot when your grandparents were around and to Endeavor and Recovery Girl when you were younger and still nervous of your surroundings. You rarely do this now, but on occasion when you did do this, this was something you did because that person you grab onto was someone you felt comfortable around and they acted sort of like your power bank helping you power through whatever it may be.

Keigo who felt a little tug on his jacket peers over in your direction and notices how you were gently grabbing onto the bottom of his jacket. Seeing that, he partially recalls back to when you guys were kids and you would time to time hide behind him or you would just gently hold onto him occasionally when the two of you were around people since you were a little shy and nervous.

Recalling that and hearing your little sigh of relief as you readjust your grip he couldn't help but smile to himself, but if Keigo could, he would honestly love to just hold your hand right then and there but with that many people around he doesn't want to take any chances.

Finally, an hour or so had passed and the event was finally over and you and Keigo were walking side by side going to whoever knows where since the two of you had nothing else planned for the day and were currently trying to figure out what to do when both your stomach and Keigos stomach growled. Keigo chuckled and looked over at you with an amused smile, "do you want to get (whatever food you're currently craving)?" Keigo asked just out of pure coincidence after hearing your stomach growl.

Hearing that your ears perked up and your wings fluttered the very slightest behind your back as you looked at Keigo with sparkling eyes and nodded "yes!..." you exclaimed literally sparkling, "please" you basically peep quietly at the end. Keigo couldn't help but chuckle, "alright, how about picking some up and then eating it at your one spot?" he asked as he pulled out his phone, you nodded in response.
