Heng looked around excitedly, the street was crowded with many people going in and out of shops and buying items from stands. It wasn't often that Heng could go out, and when he did it was usually with his family or Yu Wang, so going out with just himself and Lu was nice. Heng rubbed his hands to his face trying to warm them up in the winter air.

"Let's go over there" Heng says grabbing Lu's hand and pulling him to a stand

While walking over to the stand Heng saw a girl talking to a women

"Hello miss, would you like to buy a hairpin?" the girl asked with a hopefully expression

The girl looked about 12 or 13 around the same age as Heng. She was skinny, and had ragged clothes on which made her shiver in the old wind. She had a slight stench on her and was covered in dirt. The women looked at the girl once before walking away when the girl tried to follow the women's servants, pushed her to the ground and was about to beat her when Lu grabbed one of their hands.

"Hey you let go of us this is none of your business" One of the servants said

"Excuse my servant but I believe your master wants you all to hurry up" Heng said

The servants took one last glance at Lu and the girl before they walked away

"Master I'm sorry" Lu said with his head bowed

"Lu you did nothing wrong but try to warn me next time you do that you could of gotten hurt"

"This servant understands" Lu said lifting his head with a slight smile

"Miss, are you ok?" Heng asked helping the girl up

"Yes I'm fine thank you" The girl said

"What's your name" Heng asked

"Um my name is Chen" the girl answered

"Here take this Cheng I'll buy the hairpin" Heng said handing 2 gold coins over

"This is too much mister" Cheng said tears filling her eyes

"Keep it and be careful" Heng said waving goodbye as he walked away

"Thank you" Cheng said a smile blooming on her face

"Your kind master" Lu said

Heng showed an embarrassed smile

'I'm really not that kind" Heng thought to himself

"Let's go eat something" Heng said

They arrived at a restaurant and went into a private room.

'Host that was the female lead'

'Yes Zith I know, she has the beauty mark on her face that looks like a flower that how You Wang recognised her'

'I'm not all that. Zith could you monitor Cheng for me, tell me if she's in any danger'

After Heng finished eating he left the restaurant to look around some more. He stopped at a painting shop and decided to head there for a painting to give to his father since he's giving the hairpin to his mother. After buying a painting he walked back to his carriage and headed home.

When he got home it was already late, his family was waiting for him and went to hug and ask about his day. After some chatting he handed the gifts he brought to his parents. His parents expressed their appreciation, then Heng went to his room to go to bed after Lu changed his clothes.
