Goodbye

(Lily's POV)
The next morning was tough. Me and Izzy did an online sleepover and I wake up from Lana and Bex walking into Izzy's room. Izzy is still asleep and they start laughing at us. I look into the camera and laugh. "Hello!" Lana whispers through the phone "what are you two nutters doing?" She says and I laugh. "When we can't have a sleepover together we do an online sleepover and just leave the FaceTime on while we sleep." I say and they both laugh. Then Izzy wakes up and I hear her scream when she realises Lana and Bex are in her room. I burst out laughing and my mum walks into the room. "ARE YOU NOT UP YET?." She shouts laughing. "COME ON LAZY BUM, LANA AND BEX WILL BE HERE SOON." She says and she heard laughing on the phone "are you on FaceTime with Izzy again?" She says and I laugh and show her the camera. "Oh. Hi!" She says and Izzy takes her phone. "Hey Josie!" She says and mum looks at her. "Don't tell me you are still asleep and Lana and Bex are there" she says laughing. Izzy then realises that she slept in. "WHOOPS!" She says and everyone laughs. "SEE LILY, GET READY OR THAT WILL BE YOU!" She says walking out of the room, still laughing. "I better go before mum beats my bum!" I say laughing and Izzy laughs. "same, bye bestie!" She says
"Bye!!" I say and end the phone and quickly get ready.

(Izzy's POV)
"Sorry!" I say as I place my phone on the bedside table. "I'll be ready ASAP" I say and Lana and Bex smile. "Take your time! I came early because your mum told me this would happen" Lana says and walks out of the room. I throw on blue denim jeans and a white crop top and a grey cardigan. I brush my teeth and put my bracelet, necklace and promise ring on. No I don't have a boyfriend, it's mine and Lily's promise ring. Every time we see each other we have to fist bump and do our handshake. I run downstairs with my suitcase and smile as I see Lana and Bex. Mum, dad and Matilda are waiting at the door. I hug them all and say goodbye before heading into the car that Lana and Bex hired. We drive to Lily's house and pull up outside. The door opens before we even get out the car and I see Lily wave goodbye to her mum and dad. She's wearing the same outfit as me as we planned it the night before. Lana and Bex laugh when they realise. I run up and hug her and we fist bump and do our handshake. "YES YOU ARE WEARING YOUR RING!" Lily shouts and I laugh. "YUH" I say as we both get into the car. Lana and Bex look at us. "What rings are these?" Bex says. I let Lily answer because it was her idea. "When we were 7, Lily got me a ring for my birthday. And because her birthday is a week after mine, I got her the same ring and we made them our promise rings to always be friends forever. And we made a handshake because of them" she says. We all smile and stay silent for the rest of the way.  Me and Lily are too scared to talk, so we text each other instead.

L- why are you texting me, we are next to each other 🤣
I- I'm too scared to talk.
L- same 💀
Lily let's out a small laugh and Lana looks at her "what's so funny" she says smiling. Lily looks at me and we start laughing. Lana and Bex look at us confused. "Don't tell me you are texting each other!" Bex says laughing. We all burst out laughing and Izzy says "I was too scared to talk, I didn't want to break the silence" she says.
