Over the weekend Lizzie passed her time with hunting and reading before going over to Bella's house to check up on her. They spent the day eating junk food, doing little to no homework, and binge-watching movies neither of them had ever heard of. Making sure to avoid the girl's cousin as best she could. After having a pleasantly relaxing day and knowing Bella was perfectly fine, Monday rolled around.

For once and after waiting almost a month for it, Forks finally had a sunny school day and the Cullens stayed at home. Early morning and Lizzie was out getting blueberry pie and cream cake, both of which were packed in to-go bags on the passenger seat of her Convertible.

Arriving home a little while later, she wasted no time in digging into the desserts with nothing but her bare hands as she wandered through the front door of the house.

"Anyone home?"

"Only me, sweetheart," Esme answered as she met her daughter halfway down the hallway. "Your father's at the hospital for a shift, everyone else is hunting, and your brother still hasn't come back from Alaska yet. I'm worried."

"Don't be, Momma. You and I both know how dramatic Edward can be at times. Just give him some space and he'll be back before you know it."

Esme hummed, though the worried expression never left her face. In truth, Lizzie didn't think Edward would be gone for much longer, not when Emmett and Jasper could barely leave their mates' side for more than a class period at a time. It was fate to be together, right?

Another day past and more sun arrived in Forks, much to Lizzie's pleasure, and again the Cullen siblings were yanked out of school. Edward still wasn't back but after a phone call with Lizzie, he had texted Carlisle that he'd be back for school tomorrow if the weather was bad.

While her siblings stayed far away from Forks High School, Lizzie technically could've gone. Around a year after she'd been turned and her cravings came back to her, Lizzie stopped sparkling hardcore like the rest of her family. And even then, it took like California or Los Angelos sun for her glittery complexion to even bother showing. It was just another thing that convinced Carlisle, Lizzie's vampire gift was humanity and not extreme self-control like she'd led herself to believe.

But nevertheless, Lizzie chose not to go to school tired of the same boring information day after day. And despite that, it helped that she stayed at home when the rest of her siblings did too as to not attract unwanted attention.

Lizzie's phone vibrated and she reached for it picking it up off her dresser.

Hey, it's Jacob. She read the text.

Hey, Jake. What's up?

I was wondering if you had plans for the day?

Don't you have school?
