Sara slightly glared at you, she clearly wasn't expecting anyone and she clearly wasn't expecting you.
She silently observed you, the moon and the ocean making you look almost like...a goddess.
"What are you doing here, General?"
You softly say, not bothering to look at her.
"Are you here to take my head?"
You say as you softly smile at her.
She glared at you before sighing and sitting beside you.
"Why should I do that?"
You laugh at her and she's obviously annoyed and irritated.
"I don't know? Maybe because I'm one of the resistances' general?"
She looks at you for a bit before sighing.
"Well, we aren't really fighting right now, are we? Besides, I don't have any weapons with me right now."
"Ah. Is that so.."
Both of you stay silent, just observing the stars.
"I miss you."
She softly whispers, her voice sounding hurt.
Your eyes soften as you look at her, your heart breaking, again.
"I know. I miss you too."
She looks at you and you almost want to kiss her and embrace her, but not now. Right now you can't. So you just softly cup her cheek and lean your forehead against hers.
"(Name), why did things have to turn out like this?"
She asks her voice breaking and you cry.
"Let's run away, somewhere they can't find us, please, Sara, run away with me."
Sara wants to say yes, to just leave everything behind, but she knows she can't. The responsibility she bears is too heavy. She can't foolishly say no, not when the Shogun still needs her.
"I can't. I'm sorry (name). I'm sorry."
You softly smile at her and kiss her, for maybe the last time.
She leans closer and kisses you back, your tears won't stop running as you both continue to kiss each other and Sara continues to whisper apologies into your ear.
"When this is over, I promise, we'll run away to a place where no one knows us."
She softly says as she places one final kiss on your forehead.
