CHAPTER 40 - ANUBHAV SINGH TRIES TO MEND HASEENA'S BROKEN HEART

As HM tried her best to immerse herself in the book, she ultimately fell asleep. Last night her heart was not at peace nor today so it resulted in her tear stricken eyes having no strength to remain wide awake. And AS's calls couldn't reach her as her phone was on silent mode. So, she hit the bed for a cat nap. When she woke up by the loud sound of the lightning, the first thing she did was check her phone. She hadn't checked it lately and she might have received some kind of official message too. But one part of heart asked her to check her phone, in the hope of receiving a message from AS. As she turned off the do not disturb mode, whoala !! About 50 missed calls from AS and about 100 messages. Her mind stirred up and her worrisome side took over. She was angry at AS, but what could she do about her heart...Which had only one name engraved on it AS, and was beating only for him. She was secretly hoping that nothing would be wrong and everything would be absolutely fine. 

HM- "Ya allah !! Itne saare messages...Sab thik toh hai...(While scrolling down and reading the messages...) Aap bacche hain kya...?? Ye-ye messages...Toh paanch minute pehle ke hain...Iska matlab aap bahaar hain...Aur bahaar toh itni tez baarish ho rahi hai..."

She hastily opened up an umbrella and moved out of her house, in a jiffy. Taking fast steps but careful that she wouldn't slip. And she saw that AS was sitting on his car, without an umbrella, completely drenched in water.

HM- "Aise koi bheegta hai kya ?? Woh bhi itni tez baarish mein..."

But AS was at a loss of words, and he could just stare into her eyes. As he took one step closer to her to have a firmer grip of umbrella, the breeze which now had turned into a wind flew off the umbrella. Though HM panicked, AS was still staring at her continuously. As she felt his heated gaze on her she also could do only one thing and that was look straight into his eyes. 

AS- "Mujhe poori sachhai bina bataaye aur samjhaaye waapis ghar kyun aa gayi ??"

HM- "Anu--bhav Sir, aap do ghante baarish mein ye poochne ke liye khade the ???"

Receiving no response from him she continued.

HM- "Aapko bukhaar ho gaya toh ??"

AS- "Bukhaar ho gaya toh beemar ho jaunga..."

HM- Scolding like parents do to children, "(Rolling her eyes) Beemar pad jaoge...Just because aapko khud ki fikar nahi hai...Iska matlab ye thodi na hai ki doosron ko bhi aapki fikar nahi hai..."

AS- "Haseena ji, main jaanta hoon ki aap mujhse naaraz aur pareshan thi...Isiliye hume kal poori baat bataaye bina hi waapis chali gayi thi aap..."

As a response, HM folded her hands against her chest.

AS- "Par hum bhi gussa the...Aise hi hain hum...Humaari zindagi itni hi uljhi hui hai...Humaare saath, humaare saath rehna aasan nahi hai...I am a, I am a difficult man to deal with...Kya aap is rishte ke liye taiyaar hain ??"

As he didn't receive any answer except for a grave silence for his question from HM. He hopelessly turned away. Just then HM grabbed his wrist, and back-hugged him tightly and asserted, "Main taiyaar hoon Anu..." This caused him turn over without any reluctancy.

HM- Holding his hands in hers, "Aapke liye...Aapse judi har baat ke liye...(As a reflex action he gave the most charming smile ever) Problems hongi, complications hongi lekin agar hum dono saath ho na toh un sab ko hara denge...Hum bas aapke saath aur aapke banke rehna chahte hain...I just want to be with you..."

And them with HM's most assuring smile, they both engulfed each other in a hug instantly. 

AS- "Aap bina poori sach baat bataaye, naaraz hokar waapas chali aayi...Aur hum aapko naaraz nahi dekh sakte...Haseena ju humaare beech ladhaaiyan hongi, jhagde honge, arguments hongi, aur toh aur misunderstandings hongi...Lekin aap use bina complete aur clear kiye aap yoon waapis nahi aayengi..."

HM- "Umm...I am sorry...Mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap mujhse itna..."

AS- Apparently he completed the sentence for her, "Itna pyaar karte hain...Sach bataun toh mujhe bhi abhi pata chala...Jab hume poori sach baat pata chali aur aap kal naaraz hokar chali gayi toh aisa laga ki kuchh toot gaya, saans nahi li jaa rahi thi...Hum uski waqt yahaan aa gaye...Aapke paas...Haseena ji sabko aisa lagta hai ki hum pathar dil hain lekin aisa nahi hai...Humne apne pita ko khoya hai...Uske baad humne apne aap se waada kiya ki hum desh ke liye, maa ke liya aur behna ke liye jeeyenge...Kadvahaat bhi dekhi hai...Hum woh kadvahat fir nahi dekh sakte..."

HM cutely held her ears and said, "Sorry...Aur sacche waala sorry..."

AS immediately removed her hands from her ears and held it firmly in his and said, "Sorry se kaam nahi chalega...Ek waada karna hoga ki aap hume bina bataaye aur poori baat samjhaaye kabhi waapis nahi aayengi..."

HM- "Karna hi padega varna Lucknow ke D.S.P AS ke romantic aur sensitive side dekhne ko nahi milega..."

And then they both shared a hearty laugh.

HM- "Aap yahan tak aaye mere liye and that too in the rain..."

AS- "Main toh roz aa sakta hoon lekin baarish ko apne saath laane ka waada nahi kar sakta..."
