SUMMARY From a young age Mónica and Paxton have been attached by the hip since his family moved to town when they were 9 years old.
The Hall-Yoshida's moved into Monica's neighbourhood the young girl took a red velvet cake to their home and Mr Yoshida welcomed her into the house, introduced the Hispanic girl to his son and the two hit it off.
Growing up in the same neighbourhood the two would often go with each other to school, spend afternoons with each other doing homework or swimming laps around the Montez pool.
As they got into high school, the duo became a quartet with the addition of Marcus and Trent. That caused Paxton to always try to impress his guy friends up to a point where his friends think that he's going soft.
So when Marcus, Trent and Zoey's posey start to talk about how much of a crush Mónica has on Paxton and how obvious it is. They plot and make a bet with Paxton that he couldn't date her until she said that she loved him.
The one thing that none of them expected was to happen was for Paxton to fall for her but by the time he realised that the girl had found out the truth.
What happens when he's tries to fix the biggest mistake he ever made while trying to figure out how to tell her he loves her?

- After she found out she stayed away from him and his friends
- She kind of drifted around on her own for a bit
- He'd glance at her in the hallway and attempt to talk to her
- But she'd dodge him
