You move backwards, squeezing through the crowd, although it's very difficult. Voldemort disappeared going after Harry. The rest of the Death Eaters back to attack us. They know none of us are switching sides soon. Your eyes meet your brothers for a split second as you look for a crack in the wall to go through. You finally find one. You bend a little and climb through. You put your wand inside what seemed to remain in your pocket. Quickly, you ran towards the bridge as fast as your body allowed you to. Narcissa and Draco seemed to walk faster than you just caught up.

You make it halfway onto the bridge and you yell "Draco! Draco!" the pair turns around. You scatter towards him while trying to catch your breath. He shuffles forward, quirking an eyebrow. You then hold his hand between the both of you. "I- uh-" you try to breathe. You swallow "I chose you Blondie. It's always been you." Draco's facial expression remains neutral, not giving away anything. "Stay . . . with me. We can just be together and be happy no matter what happens tonight," you say as your eyes flicker towards Narcissa, who keeps her distance. "Please, just don't go wherever you 're going to go," you say, raising your eyebrows. "Because, I love you Draco," you tell him, looking down at the ruined bridge.

At once, Draco wraps his arms around you tightly. You hug him back; you feel as if he really needed a hug. "I love you too Y/n/n," he whispers, just for you to hear. You pull away, waiting for his decision. Draco looks back at his mother (for perhaps approval) who gives him a slight nod. "I'll stay," he smiles weakly.

"Would you like to come with us, dear?" Narcissa asks gently, with a soft smile.

Draco nods, moving back to his mother, walking away.

A relief washes over you. "Just meet me at Platform nine and three quarters in a week"

After a few hours, everything's alright. Harry defeated Voldemort, and he's won. You sit outside on the steps of the castle with Caleb, watching ash fall from above the castle. Staring at the ruined walls. "What shall we do now?" you say to Caleb as you observe the clouds drift over the castle.

He thinks too, watching at the sky. "Um. Go home, clean up. Be grateful and be sorrowful. Get on with our lives beyond Hogwarts," he curses softly in incredulity. "No more Hogwarts for us," he states in a wistful tone.

"Aww, I didn't even think of-" you speculate what you'll end up doing next. "I'll miss it. But I'm excited." You say, fiddling with your thumbs. Behind the both of you, Lewis and Anthony appear. You look up at your brother and then behind him. "I'll be right back," you inform the three of them.

You catch up to Cedric Diggory, who stretched the halls. "Hi" you whisper in a flat voice. He simply raises his eyebrows in reply. You take a deep breath and straighten your back. "Cedric, I'm sorr-" luckily you don't have to tell Cedric who cuts you off.

"Yeah, I know. It's Malfoy. I saw" he then looks at the ceiling for a few seconds and then back at you "And that's fine, I just hope you 're happy and that we can stay friends" he says with a weak smile.

"Thank you for understanding and I hope we can be friends to" tears stung in the corner of your eyes. You then take off the necklace that lays around your neck. You then caress it with your thumb one last time. The words engraved were 'I look at you, and I fall in love all over again.'

You just begin blinking rapidly, looking at the floor. You then put it in Cedric's hand. "I know you'll find someone special one day"

Cedric nods and you walk away.

"Looks like you lost the bet mate" Anthony smirks, whispering to Caleb who rolls his eyes in response.

"What bet?" Lewis asks.

"Nothing," the rest of you say, almost in unison.

You and your brother sit on the Hogwarts Express going back home. It's just the both of you in the compartment, sitting opposite each other. "So, um," Lewis mutters, rubbing his palms together in deep thought.

Noticing that something's off, you place a bookmark in your book and close it. "Yes, tell me," you say, looking outside the window. Water shimmers as the sun touches it.

"Um, well, you know when the Battle of Hogwarts happened?" Lewis says nervously "Well, I uh saw dad. He said little, got chased off before I could say anything important." he informs evading all eye contact.

"Wh-when?" you ask in disbelief.

"You were talking to Malfoy, I think. I don't know." he shakes his head. "I don't know if h-he's alive or-" he stops for a moment trying to breathe. You just wait for him. "I . . . remember something mom told us something before s-she died." His lips and fingers tremble. "She told us not to trust him," he says, shocked, "and we didn't listen. We didn't-"

You look down at the floor "I know, but-"

"We didn't listen to her! Look where that got us!"

'"Lewis, I know. The feeling will not go away for a long time, but don't you think we'd be in the same place no matter what. After a minute you mutter "I do to wonder if Dad's . . . still with us. We're going to go home and find out okay?" you promise him "and you're going to get to meet Daphne again"

"Yeah, I know"
