Chapter 29 | Suga

It was one of those days. A day where he just couldn't get the creative juices to start flowing. He was stuck and that was a big problem for the Panther Hybrid.

He knew that his rut was going to start in a day or two. And he wanted to finish the songs that he was working on before his rut.

Rut. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it was the worst possible thing for the Panther. He hated his ruts. Granted, being a Top Predator Hybrid, his ruts didn't come as often and didn't last as long as other Hybrids. But, it was frightfully painful.

When he was in his rut, his mind went blank and he hated that. He hated the vulnerability that ruts brought.

Sure, he wants a little cub running around...someday. But not now. And definitely not when he had a deadline for his songs.

The reason why he knew his rut was fast-approaching was because of the state of his mind. He was already feeling the 'rut slump' as he called it. He spent the past few minutes trying to come up with a melody for one of the songs, but nothing. No inspiration. Nothing.

He didn't know if it was a blessing from heaven or a curse when he heard a careful knock on his door.

For a split second, he frowned.

It couldn't be Jin or Hoseok, the other Hybrids in the house with him. Jin usually only knocked once and it was firm and strong. Since Jin only bothered Yoongi when it was time to eat. Hoseok's knocks were usually just like him. Fast and full of energy.

That meant that the knock belonged to the only other person in the house with them. You.

A smile crept onto his face.

Usually, he hated it when someone would bother him. But for some reason, he couldn't find the strength to be annoyed with you. Especially when you were being so careful with your knocks.

He opened the door, and just like he thought, you were standing outside his room with a very nervous expression. He couldn't help but smile wider when he saw how nervous you were.

There was no doubt in his mind that his other mates would have warned you about how he was like when he was being interrupted.

You visibly relaxed when you saw Yoongi's smile. You had gone back and forth a couple of times in your head whether or not you should knock on Yoongi's door.

"Did you need something?" Yoongi's voice was soft.

"Uh, yeah," you said with a shy smile. "I was getting a bit bored just being cooped up in my room and since it was almost lunch I went down to the kitchen to make some food. But I ended up going a little overboard and made a little too much food. So, did you want to have lunch with me? I mean! If you're not working, you know?"

Yoongi chuckled as you rambled a bit coming up with an excuse to have lunch with him. "Sure, just give me five minutes and I'll see you in the dining room."

"Great!" You said with a bright smile.

Yoongi couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he saw you turn and practically skip away. He quickly went to his computer and saved the little progress that he made. He rushed out of his room to have lunch with you. His steps feeling much lighter than before.

After lunch, you and Yoongi stood side by side as you washed the dishes and placed the leftovers in the fridge for Jin or Hoseok.

"You know," you began. "Jungkook told me that you were a music producer the other day. So I tried to listen to some of your songs but I couldn't find any. Are you working under another name?"
