Isabellas POV: As he went upstairs, I arranged the plates on the table. If he is doing this much for me, I can at least do this much for me. He thinks that he is only saving from his enemies but unknowingly he is saving me from my own demons and I can't be more grateful for that. After a few minutes, he changed into his sweats and sat on the chair. I served both of us and started eating. "It is good," he said after a few minutes of silence. "Thank you" I said. After that, we quickly completed our dinner in silence.
I was leaving the dining room to sleep when Alexander stopped me, "I wanted to talk to you about something." I nodded and followed him to the living room. He sat on the chair and I sat opposite him. "I want you to work as my temporary PA for a few weeks. Only if you are okay! My PA is going on a leave and I need a PA for the meantime. Only if you are okay with it, I don't want to force you," he rambled. "I am fine with it and honestly I would be bored sitting here alone the whole day," I said.
"Okay then. Be ready at 8:30. My headquarters are at Knight Software so you will be working there. We will leave together and wear something professional. I will give you the other details afterwards. Good night Isabella," he said and left the room. After a few minutes, I also went into my room. As soon as I closed the door, I squealed like a teenage girl. I always wanted to work there and I finally got to work there. I quickly do my night routine and sleep. Next day I woke up early and made breakfast for Alexander and myself. I quickly get ready in white button up and some pants. I paired them with my black heels. I kept my hair open and applied some lip-gloss and tada I was ready. I kept all the things that I needed in my bag and went downstairs. Alex was already downstairs. "Good morning," I said. I was happy today. "Good morning," he replied. After that we silently ate our breakfast.
After eating our breakfast we left for the office. We reached his office after driving for around 30 minutes and to say I was awestruck looking at the building was an understatement. The building was approximately 50 floors. I came out of my trance when I noticed Alex opening the door for me. I quickly get out of the car and follow him. The interior was as amazing as the exterior of the building. Mixed between the modern and a bit of traditional design with some huge portraits on the walls gave the entrance a cozy yet professional vibes. As we entered Alex’s whole demeanour changed. His body went rigid and his face went blank covering his expressions. He kept his hand on my back causing goosebumps on my body and walked towards the elevator. As we were moving towards the elevator all the eyes were on us more like me. Everyone started whispering, causing my anxiety to kick in. I think Alex noticed as he roared, “Back to work” and everyone started working. As we went inside the elevator his eyes met mine, they softened. “Are you ok?” He asked. “I am fine,” I said, squeezing his hand in assurance. He nodded his head and held my hand, “if you ever feel uncomfortable please tell me,” he said in a soft tone. “I will. Thank you Alex,” I said. “Now come on. I will show you your office and tell you what you are supposed to do,” saying that he dragged me towards my office.
