I think that life works in mysterious ways.

One day you're twenty one thinking you have everything you ever wanted but then suddenly life drops a bomb on you making you realize that you haven't been living- you've been settling.

"Walk me up to my apartment?" I asked him as he smirked at me. Reaching across the middle counsel, he grabbed my knee cap squeezing it. I wanted his fingerprint embedded in my skin.

"I guess I could do that," He teased. Unlocking the car doors, I stepped out waiting for him to follow. He was a statue in the flesh, living, and breathing. The tallest guy I had ever seen in person. He was one big intimidating motherfucker.

My boy though.

Reaching for his hand, I pulled him from behind me towards my apartment door. I felt him chuckle as he knew I was struggling to pull him. How the hell did they take this guy down in football.

"Do you have scoliosis?" I asked.

"Do you have scoliosis," He mocked my words with a high-pitched voice. Walking up to my apartment steps he pinched my ass cheek making me swing my hand back to slap him. However, he caught my wrist, placing a kiss on it.

"No, sunshine. I don't have scoliosis. Does it look like I'm slanted to you? I couldn't play football if that was the case." I reached for my keys, unlocking the door.

Turning the knob, I froze when I felt his lips near my ears.

"Is anyone home?" He whispered. I let out a pathetic chuckle knowing why he was asking—and I wasn't complaining.

"No—everyone is in class for at least another hour," I muttered back. His soft lips placed a kiss on my earlobe before I squealed, I was scooped up into his arms. His leg kicked the door closed.

"Put me down," I let out a round of laughter as he chuckled. Carrying me through my apartment, he opened my bedroom door with ease before closing it with his foot again.
