Things were back to normal in the group. Xander and I were back to our bickering selves. Caleb and Jake were still dating on the down low, although things were getting serious for them. Chris had his new flirting target of the week, which just so happened to be Cass. I don't know how many times she needed to shut him down before he got the hint.

Sarah and Ben had even managed to fit in with the group well. I was a little worried for Sarah at first. She was quiet, but now she had gotten past the charm of the boys and wasn't afraid to put them in their place if need be.

She was honestly feisty.

You wouldn't think it considering she was so petite and had the cutest smile, but I reckon she had another side to her.

I also noticed the looks she gave to her best friend's cousin when he wasn't looking. Little did she know that he also looked at her in the same way.

"Tay, are you still having drinks on Friday?" Caleb asked while I was in the middle of taking a bite out of my burger. I knew I forgot to mention something when we sat down for lunch. It had been bugging me the entire time.

I decided that I was doing this to cheer me up a little. I was still a little down about Josh leaving, and what better way to cheer up than to get drunk?

"Oh yeah." I cleared my throat before speaking up so that everyone on the table could hear. "I'm having drinks at mine after the football game on Friday. You are all more than welcome to come, but please don't tell anyone. My dad would kill me if I had a party." I announced, making sure that tables around us couldn't hear.

People at the school had a habit of showing up at people's houses.

"Do you want us to bring anything?" Cass questioned as she picked at her fries.

"Just alcohol if you can get a hold of it. " I shrugged. I knew the boys wouldn't disappoint in the alcohol department. "You can also stop the night if you need to. My dad doesn't get back until next week."

Everyone murmured their approvals of this Friday's plans and began discussing what they were bringing or going to wear. I couldn't deny, I was a little nervous about how this was going to go considering the last time I got drunk was at Jake's.

It seemed that Xander also had the same thought because my phone buzzed in my pocket, showing that it was a text from him.

Carter: I won't go if you don't want me to. It's your house.

Me: You can come. Us arguing will probably be the entertainment for the night.

I glanced up to see him smirking at his phone before he started typing. The typing icon popped up on my screen to show he was replying.

Carter: I don't know about that. Chris getting rejected by Cass is pretty entertaining.

He didn't let me reply before he sent another text.

Carter: Maybe I can finally have my jacket back? A girl stole it a while ago because she's madly in love with me ;)

I couldn't help but laugh. I forgot I still had his jacket. It was hanging up in my closet, and it completely slipped my mind that it was his.

Me: I heard she tried to give the jacket back, but you insisted on her keeping it...

Carter: I knew you were madly in love with me. You didn't deny it

Me: you wish

"What are you two smiling about?" I didn't realise I was smiling until Caleb pointed it out. I guess Caleb put two and two together when he saw us both on our phones.
