After being cooped up inside her room and being forced to recuperate for several days, Atallie's complexion was much better now than before. However, her appearance still appeared pale in front of the few people around her.

The recuperation period actually helped Atallie. And as she spent the days reading and having tea inside her room, Atallie was also rather feeling helpless about her situation. She didn't know that her plight of being unconscious that night could be so tricky and the result could be out of her grasp. In the end, she could only sigh and take note of everything so as not to repeat the same mistake.

And today, after receiving a nod from Terry, the estate's head physician, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. She knew that there was nothing wrong with her and Terry was completely aware of it. However, the forced recuperation was a command issued by the duke himself. Even the old Terry could only bow in obeisance.

Looking outside, she could see the vibrant blue skies and feel the afternoon wind as it blew past her. Though the sky was clear and bright, the weather was not hot and the wind was even a bit cold, just the right atmosphere for an afternoon tea. Thinking about it, she hurriedly instructed her maidservants to prepare for it. She specifically asked them to find a good spot in the garden to enjoy the tea.

Looking over the rows of blue, white, yellow and red flowers around her and the luscious and well maintened greenery, Atallie was truly in a good mood as she drank her tea.

Since the sun was exceptionally not glaring, she even opted not to put up any shade over her. The sounds of the birds, together with the humming of the wind were in sync and was like music that soothed her restlessness for the past several days. The beautiful scenery and this moment of peace has truly put Atallie in a good mood.

Leonor, together with the Atallie's personal maidservants could not help but to sigh in awe and appreciation as they saw the duchess peacefully and contentedly basking under the sun while calmly sipping on her tea.

Although the duchess still appeared as cold and indifferent with her emotionless face, they were aware that the duchess was quite feeling good at the moment. And as her personal maidservants, they were also happy to see the duchess enjoyed her afternoon tea. Even Leonor was not an exception. But of course, she continued to quietly observe the duchess and didn't forget to take down notes in her heart whenever needed. After all, Leonor still needed to report to her dear duke.

After quite some time, finishing two cups of her favorite tea, Atallie decided to take a stroll in the garden and look around. She didn't let anyone to accompany her as usual.

As Atallie looked around and enjoy the vibrant flowers as she walked, she noticed that she was already far from where her tea table was set up. The mansion was the largest and most extravagant of all the buildings in the estate, just right to be the place where the duke was living. Even the garden around was huge and several fountains and magnificent statues and other decorations were so lavish that could completely make one sigh in awe at the entire landscape.

Because she was alone and no one was around, Atallie was even humming a soft tune as she continued to stroll around. Her expression could also be seen as gentler than her usual coldness.

However, just as she was about to turn around into another corner of the garden, she heard some footsteps nearby.

A high-pitched voice suddenly sounded. "My lady, why don't I recognize these flowers? We don't have them in our garden."

Although the distance from those footsteps were considered not really closer, because of her sensitive hearing, she could clearly hear the voice of the other party.
