Becca was walking with Blaine and she just heard the most wonderful news: Mr. Schue was stuck for the rest of the afternoon. She couldn't be more thrilled but hid her excitement... Which quickly turned to disappointment when Mr. Schue addressed Blaine as the 'sole leader of the New Directions'.
She wouldn't have been offended if that was the case. But her friends all saw her and Blaine as the co-leaders of the club...
So that stung.
To her, it was obvious that Mr. Schue hated her. He didn't hide it and maybe they could get back onto neutral terms with each other. She's always apologized to him on her behavior and she's always tried to change. But it's really hard to do that when he seemingly refuses to change. Maybe this resentment is all made up in her head or it's real and he's a teacher on a power trip.
No matter what, she's not going to try and bend to his every beck and call and kiss his ass. Her therapist said doing that is unhealthy. She's made the first move to try and fix their relationship, it's his turn now.
And she's walking out if there's a song involved in any way.
Fortunately, Blaine subtly corrected him in that they were co-leaders and that he could trust both of them to keep the club running without his presence... Gotta love Blaine 'Warbler' Anderson for defending her.
Making their way to the choir, all the duo saw was utter chaos. Artie banging away at the piano (nobody tell Brad). Kitty and Marley hitting tambourines with Unique banging on the xylophone- somehow the three girls were able to keep up a conversation. Jake was trying to learn the guitar from Sam, but the blonde's constant playing of the harmonica was making things difficult. Tina and Ryder were both banging on the drums.
Blaine tried to get them all to stop, but nobody could hear him. This is where Becca and her loud Stage Manager voice comes into play. "Hey everyone," she calls out, loud enough to be heard over the noise, and demanding enough to get them all to be quiet. "Listen to the Warbler."
"Thanks Becks," Blaine smiles. "We just ran into Mr. Schue and he's gonna be stuck in the classroom for the rest of the afternoon because of some school board inspection thing. But, he still wanted us to meet so we can start working on ideas for Nationals."
Everyone was shouting out their ideas as Becca was quickly trying to jot them down. Blaine, however, wanted peace. "This is anarchy! We all can't just shout at the same time!"
"How about I make a Google Form for everyone's suggestions?" Becca offers, already starting to pull out her laptop.
That was an idea that Blaine had, but he suggested maybe they go around the room and each share their ideas. "I'll start. I was thinking that the music needs to be really simple, so we can really highlight our voices." At this idea, Artie smacked his head against the piano. "No guitar, nothing electronic. We go with a simple piano arrangement- which I could play."
