𝙷𝚎𝚛 𝚂𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚎

Though her heart was broken in two,
And she felt she could no longer go on,
She smiled.
Because she knew,
That no matter if her words failed her yet again,
Her smile could translate all her sacred thoughts.

And so she smiled.
Though the pain of ever growing expectation weighed heavy on her shoulders.
Place there by those who failed to understand,
And those that never once tried,
Was getting too much to bear,
She could not afford to show her true feelings,
For she would surely break into tears.

And as she grew older, she realized,
That her smile helped not only her,
But others,
Through their darkest times.
For when they were drowning in the sea of despair,
And had lost all hope of life,
Her smile guided them safely to shore.
She was their shining light...
