The flowers, he had always enjoyed in the garden, no longer seemed as beautiful as before. They had lost their colour and joy. Now Soobin could only feel sadness leaking even from them. It felt like they were emitting poisonous toxins which were clothing him and everyone else in the house with gloom.
It was night, the stars gazing down at the world. The weather was chilly outside, the lights still lightened up in the yard like they had been from the previous day.
It'd been hours since Beomgyu was no longer there and Yeonjun had been sitting in the living room after Taehyun and his people took the boy. He hadn't even said a word since then and Soobin was actually getting scared when he was watching him in that condition, that's why after some time he decided to go to his room.
Beomgyu was going to be buried the next day. As Yeonjun had said he wanted to have the boy close to him, so he had decided to bury him in the backyard of his house. Soobin didn't like that idea much, because Yeonjun was going to be hurt every time he would catch a sight of Beomgyu's grave which would happen quite often, of course, however, he didn't argue with the older since he was in enough stress already and arguments would only make it grow bigger.
Soobin didn't want to return to the living room. He just wanted to lay down and sleep to escape that world at least for some time, but he wasn't able to do it when he knew that Yeonjun was still in the living room, sank in his grief. The male hadn't even eaten anything during the entire day which was making Soobin concerned. Well, maybe he was a werewolf and had the ability to cure himself of any sickness, but he still needed food to have more energy. At least, that's what Soobin used to think like, so he went back to him after a small argument in his head. Yeonjun was still sitting on the couch in the same position Soobin left him an hour ago and his eyes were staring blankly at the floor.
Soobin was actually scared to make any sound because Yeonjun looked like he could get extremely angry even at him for nothing. That's why he took silent steps toward him and tried to be unnoticed when he seated himself next to the male, all his muscles stiff as he struggled to get a word to leave his mouth.
Stop being a coward. He needs you.
"Hyung", he finally mumbled, eyes drawing to the blue-haired male beside him who didn't even budge in response, so Soobin turned his body to him. He touched his hair with a quivering hand, gently brushing it since he was aware of how much the older male loved it when he used to touch him like that, "Hyung, stop being like that, please", he didn't see even a small wave of emotion on Yeonjun's face, but didn't give up anyways, his hand kept caressing his blue, sapphire locks, "We are all concerned about you. You are hurting not only yourself but us too. Say something, please"
Soobin heard the sound of footsteps which were approaching them, so his hand stopped in Yeonjun's hair as his eyes drew to the doorframe in which Jennie appeared after a few seconds.
The girl didn't say anything, he just looked at Soobin with a worried and questioning gaze, making him shake his head in response as a sign of defeat. More concern got written on Jennie's face as she walked into the room further, placing herself on the armchair in front of the couch on which Yeonjun had been sitting for a while now.
"I know you're hurting, Yeonjun", Jennie said in a genuine tone, crossing her legs, "We all are, but that much mourning will bring us nothing good. Beomgyu would never want to see you in that condition"
Yeonjun didn't respond either this time and a few moments of heavy silence passed. Then another sound of footsteps was heard and Kai entered the room. He was as worried about the alpha as everyone else but didn't dare to say a word. He just cast sorrowful glances at Jennie and Soobin and then sat on another armchair, sighing in a stressful manner as his sad orbs fixed on Yeonjun.
