Sang's P.O.V.

When I arrive back at the house, I'm intercepted at the door by Taylor.

"Henry's acting weird," she says before I can get a word out.

"What like he's possessed? Or he's already had a few too many?," I ask.

"He's reading a book about nonviolent communication," she says quietly. "And he's asking all these questions about me and Jami."

I raise an eyebrow. That is not like him at all. I step into the house and see him on the couch reading the book Taylor mentioned.

We both approach him and I get a strong whiff of aftershave or cologne. That's unlike him as well. "What is that, cologne?," I decide to ask.

"Nope," he says. "You look upset, is everything alright?"

He's trying to change the subject. Is he dating somebody and not telling us?

He'll tell us when he's ready, so I answer his question. Given what happened less than an hour ago, I'm not surprised I'm making a face.

I tell both of them what happened with Owen and when I'm done, Taylor is the first to talk. "Are you kidding me? What an asshole," she says.

"I don't know, Sang," Henry says. "He probably has his reasons for doing what he did, even if he seemed rude. Plus, we could use all the people we can get to defeat Astaroth."

Taylor and I share a look. "Okay, so do you think Michael should be apart of our little team as well?"

"Of course," he nods. "The more the merrier."

"What do you think?," I ask Taylor. "Do I need to perform an exorcism?"

"Oh, absolutely," she nods. "That book couldn't have worked that quick."

I snort and nod my head. Part of me wants to take a look into his head, but that is something he forbid me from doing early on into my training.

He suddenly stands up. "I'm hungry. You girls want breakfast?"

Taylor and I share a look, before we nod. "Yeah, sure," I tell him.

"Great," he heads towards the door. "I'll be back soon."

As soon as he walks out, Taylor and I burst into laughter. "What the fuck was that?," Taylor asks.

I shake my head. "No clue."

We quickly fall into a comfortable silence as she grabs her laptop and types away. And then, not even ten minutes later, Henry walks right back in.

"That was quick," Taylor says.

Henry scowls. "What the hell are you talking about?" He seems grumpier than he did ten minutes ago. Much more like his normal self.

"Didn't you go to get breakfast?," Taylor asks him.

"If you want breakfast, go get it yourself. You're old enough," he says.

I frown. That was really weird.

He takes the book he was previously reading and shoves it back onto the bookshelf while mumbling something under his breath.

"Okay," Taylor says slowly. "Fucking weirdo."

I go to the kitchen and grab something to eat quick before going to get changed. I need to go for a run, I have to keep up with my training on days I'm not meeting with Michael.
