Chapter 1

Ring ring ring

Ava groans at the sound of her alarm

"Why did I decide to go to grad school?" She thought to herself. Ava checked the time and it was already 10:00am. She immediately jumped out of bed and went to the restroom

"Crap class already started 30 minutes ago!" She brushed out her long fluffy hair and applied some light makeup to look presentable. She grabbed a pair of leggings and an oversized sweatshirt.

She grabbed her backpack and rushed out of her apartment door. Ava didn't have a car yet. She was trying to save some money for a car. So instead she took the bus and it'll drop her off.

"Thank you!" She yelled to the bus driver. She checked the time and it was 10:25. She ran faster to the classroom and took a breath as she got closer.

Ava opened the door and all eyes were on her

Even the professor

"Glad for you to join us Miss Conte" Said Professor Fox.

"Sorry" Ava said out of breath and took her seat. She then took out her laptop and checked her email. She saw the Jolie Inc replied to her and she clicked it

"Congratulations Miss Conte! We received your resume and immediately took interest in you. We have seen your work and was impressed! Please stop by for your interview This Saturday 9:00am sharp. Have a wonderful day!"

Ava had a bright smiled on her face.

"Alright class that's all for today. I know I'm dismissing you guys early so enjoy the rest of your day. Miss Conte please stay behind" Professor Fox said.

Ava sighed to herself. She thinks she's in trouble now.

After all the students left Ava went down to Professor Fox. Professor Fox is a beautiful woman. All the guys drool for her here. Professor Fox was typing away at her laptop on her desk.

"Yes?"

"Is everything okay? You're coming to class late very often now. This doesn't sound like you" Professor Fox actually sounds concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine it's just I was busy filling out some job applications."

"I see. Any luck?" Professor asked

"Yeah I have an interview with Jolie Inc this Saturday" Ava smiled

"So tomorrow?"

"Oh my gosh! That's tomorrow- I'm not even ready" Ava freaked

"Actually let me give you this list of tips and advice that would help you with your interview" Professor Fox gave a paper to Ava

Accidentally their hands touched each other and Professor Fox felt a spark but Ava was too focused on the paper to feel anything. Professor Fox looked at Ava and saw she was studying the list and noticed that she bite her lips when focused

Professor Fox thought that was cute of her

"Wow thank you! I'll see you on Monday" Ava waved her a goodbye

"Bye Ava"

Ava decided to walked to the cafe to grab something to eat since she skipped breakfast. As she was walking her phone ranged and saw it was her boyfriend, Kyle

"Hey Kyle" Ava said

"Hey babe my family is having a get together dinner tomorrow and they want you to come. We've been dating for almost 3 years now and they're dying to meet you" He said

Ava thought about it. Kyle never talks about his family. He said he didn't like his family after his mom died and everything went downhill afterwards.

"What time? I have an interview at 9:00am"

"Around 7:30 dinner starts. I can pick you up" He said

"Okay see you tomorrow then" Ava said

"Alright I love you bye"

"Love you" Ava hanged up

Great got an interview and meeting my boyfriend family for the first time tomorrow

How bad can it be?
