3x12 The Ties That Bind

Kalani walks out of her room to find Alex, Ginny, and Adelaide sitting on the couch. "Hey," she says as they face her. "Hey," Adelaide says as Kalani walks to them. "I'm gonna go help my sister and Bonnie with something. I'll be home soon," Kalani explains. "Miss you already," Adelaide says as Kalani kisses her. "Miss you more," she says with a smile.

"Eww, love," Alex speaks up. "Ignore him. Are you sure you don't want to stay?" Ginny questions. "No, I just wanna go somewhere new," Kalani explains before walking to the door.

Before they can respond she walks out as Elena's car pulls up. Kalani gets in the back before they greet each other. "Are you okay?" Bonnie asks turning to face the girl. "Awful but what's new," Kalani says with a laugh as they start driving.

Kalani rests her head back as she listens to the two girls. "What's the point of coming along if you're not gonna say anything?" Elena questions. "I just don't want to be at home for a while," Kalani responds. "Why?" Bonnie asks as Kalani sighs. "It's just weird that Max isn't there," she explains as they pull up to Bonnie's mom's house. "Your mom has a nice house," Kalani says changing the subject.

"I'm gonna listen to music on my phone so you guys can go in without me," she adds before Bonnie and Elena get out of the car. After a while of listening to music, there's a knock on the window as she gets out of the car. "Abby made something to eat," Elena says as Kalani nods before the two walk into the house.

"Hey, you must be Abby. I'm Kalani," the blonde says holding her hand out for Abby to take. "Nice to meet you," she says as Kalani nods before trying to sit down. "Can you give us a moment?" Bonnie asks as Kalani nods. "You can take some pie out with you," Abby says handing Kalani a plate with pie. "Thank you," Kalani says before she and Elena walk out of the house.

"Want some?" Kalani asks as they get in the car. "Seriously? I once saw you eat an entire pie by yourself when we were kids," Elena says with a smile. "I would eat it all but I've sorta been struggling to eat for a while. When my humanity came back it was like my insecurities multiplied," Kalani explains. "I would tell you not to be insecure but that doesn't really fix anything. But I will eat the pie with you and if you're struggling you can always come over and we can eat together," Elena says smiling at Kalani.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Kalani says before the two eat pie. Elena had more than Kalani before she got out of the car to take the plate and fork in.
