THE MACHINE continued to shoot the bright laser light into the mysterious crack in the wall, though it wasn't that mysterious.

Because they had an idea of what it was.

Steve and Dustin looked at eachother, then towards Gabe who only stared at the Gate with a shocked and horrified expression.

They all ran out of the room, walking down the stairs quickly.

"I don't understand, you guys have seen this before?" Robin asked.

"Not exactly." Steve responded.

"Then what exactly?!"

"All you need to know is it's bad." Dustin replied.

"It's really bad." Gabe emphasized.

"Like, end-of-the-human-race-as-we-know-it, kind of bad."

"And you know about this, how?" Robin questioned in frustration."

"Um, Steve? Where's your Russian friend?" Erica rose and eyebrow, trying to look for the unconscious guard.

They all looked over and as if on cue, the alarms started blaring.

Gabe ran over to the door with Steve. He opened the door and they both peeked outside.

They saw several guards surrounding a man who was hunched over and clutched his face in his hands. The soldiers looked over and began shouting, some armed with guns.

"Halt!halt-" Steve shut the door in their faces, nearly shutting it on Gabe's.

"Shit! Go go!" Steve ushered everyone back up the stairs and into the same room they were once in, expect this time they entered the second door.

They paused, looking at all the workers who slowly turned black to look at them.

Dustin took initiative and ran out a door on the side, everyone else following suit. They ran down the stairs as quick as they could.

Gabe's eyes widened as he looked at the light up close. They ran down the side of the laser, staring at the crevice in the wall in front of them.

They realized that they were cornered, looking back at the soldiers who had grabbed their guns and were running towards them.

Gabe looked at the stair case and shouted for them. They all jumped down the steps, Steve saw two other soldiers speeding towards them, but he pushed a couple of cans onto them.

They continued to run into a room, Steve shut the door and held it to prevent anyone from coming in. It became a struggle and Gabe came over to help.

Gabe yelled at Dustin and Erica to hurry and get out but a chute in the floor, or whatever it was. Gabe had also forced Robin in with them, he tried to convince Steve but the man wouldn't budge.
