Y/n apologized to Paimon for what she'd said, explaining to the pixie that she was hardly even conscious when she'd said what she'd said.

Paimon understood and forgave her friend though Ryoichi was still pissed about when y/n had almost hit him in the crotch with the end of her axe.

The squad continued heading deeper into the factory, y/n taking out her anger on the Fatui Skirmishers they ran into on the way.

Aether was still worried but at least y/n wasn't trying to strangle him anymore.

'Ngl, it was hot tho.' Aether thought as y/n threw a Mirror Maiden through a wall.

Y/n glanced back at Aether with a, "Hey, Aether? I didn't hurt you, did I?"

"Hurt him?" Ryoichi echoed.

"I tried to strangle him." y/n replied as she turned away to bodyslam an anemoboxer that was trying to crawl away

"Should've finished the job." Ryoichi said under his breath before looking at Aether, "You okay, blondie?"

The ebony haired boy deadpanned when he saw the look on Aether's face.

Y/n turned to see what was happening when she heard Aether yelp. Ryoichi had kicked him in the butt and was now shaking him by his shoulders, shouting incomprehensible insults.

Confuzzled, y/n just ignored them and gestured for Paimon to stay close.

"You sick little-!" Ryoichi was saying, about to punch Aether in the face.

"WAIT, WAIT, WAIT-!"

"I know you liked being choked you disgusting piece of trash!" Ryoichi snapped, "I may have not known y/n for long but she's family! And if some snot-nosed blond starts simping over my cousin, I'm killing em!"

"Ryo!" y/n called before Ryoichi could punch Aether in the face, "We opened the door!"

Ryoichi visibly relaxed, letting go of Aether but not before giving him a glare and a, "You got lucky this time."

'Aha... he's crazy...' Aether thought warily as Ryoichi headed in the direction Paimon and y/n had gone.

When they met up with the two, Ryoichi pat y/n on the head before entering the room they'd unlocked.

He frowned at the sight of several other Fatui idiots waiting for them.

"Seriously?" he demanded then sighed, summoning a polearm out of nowhere, "This is getting annoying... let me handle these guys."

Y/n gave him a thumbs up, knowing that she'd probably end up killing the people. She didn't want to do that since Aether and Paimon were nearby.

Ryoichi glanced at Aether, "You. Blondie."

Aether blinked, "?"

"If you try anything funny, you'll face the same fate as these morons." Ryoichi stated.

Aether didn't want that.

Ryoichi looked pretty harmless if you ignored his constant scowl. He was quite small and the feminine features he'd gotten from his Mother didn't really help.

However, looks could be deceiving.

Y/n watched in amazement as Ryoichi took down five trained adults with ease, that usual scowl of his etched on his face as he easily evaded attacks and delivered some blows of his own, showing no mercy when it came to the Mirror Maiden.
