CHAPTER FORTY SIX

"Eloise! Where are you going?"

I turned around and saw my mom. This scenario happened when we had our picnic years ago

"I'm going over there." I pointed the biggest tree

"That's too far. Alright, just bring Carol along---"

"No, mother, I want to play by my self."

"Seriously... alright, just make sure you come back safely."

I smiled, "Yes mother."

I run as fast as I could but unfortunately I stumble.

It hurts so bad, I wanted to cry for help

"Clumsy."

I looked up and saw a kid, he look so familiar

"Ah! It's you!" I said

"Yep, you dummy" He turned around and kneel, "You're going on that tree right?" He asked

"Yeah, I am."

"I'll carry you. We're going on the same place and I'm going to cover your wound."

"You sure? I don't see any emergency kit with you."

"I got some bandage though."

"Where?"

"In my pocket, I'm saving this for myself but then I saw you. You also broke your flower crown last time, it's not surprising to see you stumble like that."

I punch him in the head, "Shut up!"

"You shut up! It hurts you know! Now, c'mon, I'll carry you."

I let him carry me on his back

"You're heavy."

I punch him in the head again, "Quit it, dumbass!"

"Argh!" He groan

He walk while I'm on his back. Come to think of it, I barely know this boy.

"Hey," I said

"Hmm?" He replied

"May I ask your name?"

"It's Severus Leonitus."

"Leonitus?"

"It's our family name."

"It's weird."

"I know that so shut up, clumsy. How about you?"

"Eloise Ophelia."

"Ophelia is weirder than mine."

I punch him again in the head, "Stop punching me or else I'll leave you here!" He groan

I ignored him until we reached our destination

He put me gently under the tree and covered my wound.

"There." He said

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it."

"You know what, you're just like my mother."

"Your mother?"

"Yup, she's so kind and caring that's why I love her more than my father and my brother."

"Why?"

"Because they treat me like I wasn't part of the family"

He was speechless

"My brother never played with me or talk to me, and my father is always busy and he keep ignoring me everytime he see me. It sucks. Maybe I'm just a mistake."

"No you're not. You're the proof that your mother and your father loves each other."

"But what if---"

He suddenly hugged me out of nowhere before I finished my words

"I'm glad I meet you, don't ever think of yourself as a mistake of your parents. If you're feeling lonely, I am here. I'll play with you"

I hugged him back, "thank you, Severus."

We broke the hugged, "Hey, how about we climbed this tree?" He said

I don't know what to respond so I just nod my head.

He climbed first and help me. I was amazed by the view. I can't help smiling.

"Isn't it nice?" He asked

"Yeah" I replied

I suddenly hear a crack but I ignored it because I was mesmerized by the view

I suddenly fell from the tree, I missed to grabbed the branch. It was too late

I saw Severus trying to grabbed my hand but he couldn't reach it

"Eloise!"

"Eloise!"

He keep calling my name over and over again, he was crying, I don't want to die here.... please save me

"Lady Eloise, please wake up!"

I opened my eyes and saw Stella crying above me

"My lady!" She hugged me "I thought you're dead! I'm sorry, my lady! I couldn't protect you, I'm worthless as your servant!"

I smiled and pat her head, "I'm sorry for worrying you."

A/N: hello again, some of you might hate Eloise for being clueless in this story but as you know, Eloise is trying to change the storyline and Thalia is trying to stick to the main storyline. And in order to do that, Thalia does a ritual just to gain the forbidden magic, the black magic.

She can control everyone (especially the male leads) using that magic. And in order to maintain the main storyline, she have to get rid of Eloise just like in the novel. The reason that Eloise didn't know that Thalia has black magic because it wasn't written in the novel before she was being isekai to their world. This version is much darker than the main novel. And also, Thalia was aware that Eloise is not the same as before and it was hard for her to control her.
