Dr. Desmond is standing in the middle of his lab when the room went dark and 6 screen dropped down from the ceiling. When the screens turned on they revealed figures made of light.
???: Dr. Desmond, you require and audience with the light?
Desmond: Yes. Very sorry to disturb you at this late hour.
???: Just make your report.
Desmond: Of course. *clears throat* Well, we had a small fire here at Project Cadmus. The origin of it is still unclear but it seems to have attracted some...unwanted attention. Three sidekicks, Kid Flash, Robin and Aqualad and the hero Y/n 10 breached security. They found and released the weapon "Superboy". Of course the clone is under telepathic control and as ordered turned against his would-be liberators. The four are contained and we don't believe the League knows they're here. Uh...what should I do with them?
???: Clone them.
???: The substitutes will serve the light and only the light.
Desmond: And the originals?
???: Dispose of them. Leave no trace, but leave Y/n alive in hopes of finding out a way to remove the Omnitrix.

Y/n, Kid, Aqualad and Robin were all unconscious inside pods. They were all awoken by a strange voice in their heads.
???: Time runs short. You must awaken. You must awaken now!
They all gasp and wake up to see Superboy right infront of them. He was staring at them.
Kid: What? What-What do you want? Quit staring your creeping me out!
Robin: Uh, KF, how about we not tick off the guy who could fry us with a look?
Y/n: Wanna tell us what the deal was for attacking us?
Kid: Yeah. We free you and you turn on us. How's that for grat-
Aqualad: Kid, please, be quite for now. I believe our new friend was not in control of his actions.
Superboy: What if I...what if I wasn't?
Kid: *shocked* He can talk?
Superboy: *clenches fist* Yes, he can.
Y/n, Robin and Aqualad look at Kid.
Kid: Not like I said "it".
Aqualad: The Genomorphs taught you telepathically.
Superboy: They taught me much. I can read, write. I-I know the names of things.
Robin: But have you seen them? Have you ever actually let you see the sky? Or the sun?
Superboy: Images are implanted in my mind, but no. I have not seen them.
Aqualad: Do you know what you are, who you are?
Superboy: I am the Superboy, a Genomorph, a clone made from the DNA of the Superman created to replace him should he perish...to destroy him should he turn from the light.
Aqualad: To be like Superman is a worthy aspiration. But like Superman you deserve a life of your own beyond that solar suit, beyond your pod, beyond Cadmus.
Superboy: I live because of Cadmus! It is my home!
Y/n: Your home is a test tube you haven't stepped foot out of until now. We can show you the sun.
