Chapter 23: Into the pyre

*Battlefield*

An immense show of power outside the government headquarters. Attack was getting stronger from both the sides, but the revolutionaries were giving tough time to the govt. forces. Their formation and discipline was perfect today, all their units giving their best, every soldier fighting to his last breath with the believe that this could be his last fight.
"We're good as gold sir," said the voice on radio "enemy is loosing their numbers, our forces are over powering them."

"The Bots aren't their yet?" David asked

"That's a negative!"

Seraj and others just entered the enemy building, its a huge and massive facility with iron doors, all parliament and the prison are inside the metal fence surrounding the area.

"So exactly how I remember," Stuart says. "We should be in the old weapon factories which used to here now its all junk yard. The prison is left side from here, while the parliament and the watch tower from where the government watches and organize their states should be on the right."

"I think prison is nothing of our interest?" Jeff asked of curiosity.

"Umm." Stuart hesitated a little then he said "I was kept in the prison until they find out what I'm capable of and used me for their technical work. I used the same route to escape. But I couldn't bring my Mother and brother with me." He was getting emotional, he added "They are most likely there. I have to go to rescue them."

Seraj was listening to all of this. Jeff tried to protest but he stopped him. He smiled to Stuart and said "You should do what you think is best." He said offering him his gun "Take this, it was a gift from my father. Use it fairly, hope you get your family to safety."

Stuart got brave by his words of motivation. Seraj order four guard to go with him and rest of the five with him and Jeff. Stuart explained them the right passage which leads to the control room, where he said they're most likely to find all the superiors of the government including their boss and the bots are final tested there.

They both part ways towards their destination.

Jeff and Seraj were chatting, David called on the secret radio transmitter only accessible to Seraj.
"The bots aren't deployed, things are going as we had planned. The new update worked."  David said

"What update? I don't understand." Seraj asked looking confused.
"Jeff will explain it to you." David voice was looking excited. "According to the current update, our forces are getting stronger on to the enemies. They are nothing without the bots. We got the best soldier. Its not a fight for a nation or land, its a fight for freedom and we'll win at any cost."

Seraj and Jeff both looked amazed. They disconnected the line as they move towards their final plan. Jeff started explain him about the bots.

"So the bots, I had designed, was only to be changed or alter in their programming by only your ID." He continued "So when we lost our Leader, and we lost the bots before it, we'd knew that we're in big danger if we didn't do anything quick. So we tested the Quadterniter, and we brought you, there when the bots attacked us as I had suspected, So Hasham did the job, he hacked one of the bots and use your DNA to access their programming and used the virus I had gave him. Which used yo work in a couple of days, but will hibernate them all, the virus will replicate on itself and now we had did it, they must've been hibernated and that will be the reason they haven't used them to attack our soldiers. "

Seraj was listening to all of this in confusion, he now recalls the day Hasham did rescue him, and he used his part of skin on something and used a device for a little longer, while their people being brutally killed by the bots, now he know all the sacrifices done to complete this mission.

"So what we are about to find here?" Seraj finally asked.

"Yes yes, I'm getting there" his expression are different of happiness. "So they are hibernated, like they are asleep, but not dead. We just need to use the device I gave you on their data core, which is I'm sure will be in that control room."

"So just do it, and prevent any more lives from getting lost." Seraj said with power and determination in his voice as they walked towards the separate building of the parliament.
