(𝐘/𝐍) 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐉𝐈 sat on the swings in the playground connected to her apartment complex. They had gone to her place to bring Ms Grumpy back to her house and since Baji was spending the whole day with her, they decided to go sit and chat in the empty playground for a bit.

"You're in the same gang as Chifuyu, right?" She asked, turning to look at him.

"Yeah, I'm one of the founding members."

"What type of gang is it?"

"I wanted it to be a gang where we protect others, you know?" He smiled softly

"Yeah, so you care a lot about your friends and want to protect them, that's why you made a gang?"

"Yeah."

"Well, that's something we have in common." She grinned

"You're in a gang?!" Baji gasped

"No, I meant the fact that we want to protect our friends, that's what we have in common." She chuckled

"Oh."

Silence filled the air, it wasn't necessarily awkward, it's just neither of them knew what to say.

"(Y/N)..." Baji spoke up

"Yeah?"

"Why did you leave the cake store that day? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Baji muttered

"Why do you want to know?" She sighed

"I'm just curious."

"My friend got beat up by a gang, he could've ended up in hospital if I didn't get there in time. Luckily I got there and beat their asses!" She smirked

"You don't have any bruises, you must be good at fighting!" Baji grinned

"I do have bruises, I just used my mothers makeup to cover them up. She would've killed me if she found out I did something violent." She laughed, scratching the back of her neck.

"If you're good at fighting you should join our gang!" Baji exclaimed

"No can do, my mum doesn't like violence. If she found out..."

"That's fine, but how about you meet my friends, yeah? I'm sure they'd like you, you're my friend after all, all my friends are cool!" He laughed

(Y/N) looked at him with wide eyes, she felt her cheeks heat up slightly. She never knew Baji was the type of person to call someone he barely knew a friend. It made her happy to see this happy and less grumpy side of him.

"Yeah, I'd like to meet you're friends. They're probably a lot cooler than you." She teased

He frowned at her words, glaring at her.

She softly slapped his cheek, "only joking. No one could ever be cooler than you, except me of course." She smirked

Baji rolled his eyes. He stood up and walked behind her. He started to push the swing she was sitting on, making her grip the chains on the swing.

She felt like she was going too high and almost fell off the swing. This was because Baji was pushing the swing with too much force.

"Mr Grumpy, stop pushing me!" She exclaimed

"Stop calling me Mr Grumpy!" Baji yelled

"Baji, stop pushing me right now!" She shouted

"No."

"What do you mean 'no'?! Stop pushing the swing! Baji, I swear if you don't stop pushing me-"

He stopped pushing the swing, slowly slowing the swing down, until she was able to get off it. Once she was off the swing, she marched over to him, hitting his head repeatedly. He just laughed, tears brimming in the corners of his eyes.

"You little shit! Now I'm dizzy." She sighed

"That's what you get for calling my friends cooler than me." He smirked

She glared daggers at him, placing a hand on her forehead to help ease the headache she had gained.

"Are you okay?" Baji asked, his expression became soft.

"I'm fine, I just have a small headache." She mumbled

"Jump on my back, I'll carry you to a store so we can buy water and some food because I'm hungry." He smiled

"We can just go to my house-"

"Then I'll carry you up to your apartment." He rolled his eyes

"But I can walk-"

"I'm carrying you." He stated

"Why?"

"Why not?"

They both held a small glaring contest for a minute or two.

"You're such a weirdo." She chuckled, jumping onto his back.

"Giddy up horsey!" She exclaimed, holding a bit of his hair in each of her hands.

"I'm not a horse. And don't touch my hair!" Baji grumbled

"My dearest apologies, Mr Grumpy." She let go of his hair, resting her head on his shoulder, her arms wrapped around his shoulder.

"You're so annoying." He mumbled

"That was harsh, I feel like my heart has been trampled on." She said, fake crying.

"Shut up."

"Yes sir."
