FOR THE FIRST time in ages, Erica woke up with the feeling that nothing would bring her down. She was naked and the heavyweight of a tanned arm was wrapped around her waist and the warmth given to her by Jaclyn was so good. Oh so good. She never wanted to move again and snuggled deeper into Jaclyn's chest, watching as the woman's chest rose and fell with the movement of her breathing
"Hey, beautiful" A voice laced with sleep murmured and a feather-like kiss was delivered onto the crown of her head. Her smile (a smile that hasn't left her face since last night -- or the early hours of this morning) instantly widened as she twisted in Jaclyn's arms in order to face her
"Hey" Erica whispered, not able to stop herself from reaching out and touching Jaclyn's gorgeous features, just like last night her hands run wild over her face. Eventually, though Jaclyn obviously had enough of the teasing and stilled Erica's movements by grabbing her hand and kissing the tips of her fingers before cupping the back of her hand and bringing her lips to Erica's own
After a few seconds, Erica pulls away "I probably taste gross"
"I don't care" Jaclyn chuckled
Erica smiled again as she flopped back onto her back, looking up at the ceiling and replaying the events in her head. The ball. Getting arrested. Almost losing Jaclyn. The fight. Saying sorry and then just like that one of the worst nights in her life turned into one of the best the passion, the amazing sex...The love. It was everything Erica had ever dreamed about, a night of fantasy, fairytale and adventure "Last night was an amazing thing baby"
Jaclyn hummed "Did you really mean what you said last night?"
Erica's eyes clouded over in confusion and she once again twisted on her side so she could face Jaclyn whose face was twisted with doubt and vulnerability and she wanted to wash it away forever "Mhmm yeah I meant every word. I'm sorry baby but you're stuck with me forever. I have and will always love you"
"Say it again"
"I love you"
"And again"
"I love you babe"
"And again"
"I love you, Jaclyn Teague. With everything in me"
"One more time"
"Oh so this how it is?" Erica asked with a raised eyebrow as she dropped the task of twirling Jaclyn's hair around her finger and crawling atop of the Captain so she was in a pushup position with the blankets wrapped around her backside and gave Jaclyn a little glittering smile (she hadn't stopped smiling this entire time either) "Well no matter, I'll say it until I'm blue in the face and until I run out of breath Jaclyn Teague I love you"
