Tanjiro opened the sliding doors as he saw ovoid ceramic jars that were placed on the floor. The light amber-colored light shone from the hanging intricate Japanese lantern. Tanjiro moved slowly as Zenitsu was following Tanjiro, clinging onto Y/n's arm. 

Y/n's white boots clicked against the hard ground. Zenitsu shivered as tears came out of his eyes, he was shaking harder, gripping on to Y/n's arm tightly. 

"Y/n," Zenitsu whines against the girl. "Hey, Y/n," Zenitsu shook her hand. Y/n turned to him. "Yes?" Y/n asked. "You'll protect me, right? You will protect me, right?" Zenitsu asked in a shaky voice. Y/n's eyes softened. "Yes, of course," Y/n smiled. "But Zenitsu-san, I had to put you on the spot but, I have a broken rib and leg due to the previous battle," Y/n said in a small voice. "My ribs are healing well, but it's not completely healed."

"So--" 

That was the breaking point of Agatsuma Zenitsu. Zenitsu screamed loudly and looked in horror. Y/n flinched as Tanjiro stopped in his tracks, looking terrified even if they both couldn't see his face. 

"What do you mean, broken bones?" Zenitsu shouted. "Don't go breaking bones on me, you hear?!" Zenitsu screamed. "There's no way you can protect me if you've got fractures!" Zenitsu shouted. "I--I--I'm gonna die!" Zenitsu exclaimed. "What am I gonna do?" Zenitsu asked loudly, his eyes were boggling madly. "I'm going to die! Die! Die! Die!" Zenitsu shouted. Zenitsu screamed. 

Tanjiro looked at Zenitsu with a rather awkward look as Y/n was dragged by Zenitsu here and there. Then Zenitsu turned to her and grabbed her hands but his hair didn't stop flying and his eyes didn't stop boggling. "Broken bones? How could you? I'm a dead man now!" Zenitsu shouted. "The odds of me dying has increased to ninety percent!" Zenitsu screamed into Y/n's face as Y/n blinked. 

Then Zenitsu fell to the floor on his back as he rolled himself on the ground, gripping onto his blonde locks tightly, kicking his feet repeatedly in the air. "I'm good as dead! Dead! Dead!" Zenitsu shouted. "Zenitsu, quiet down!" Tanjiro exclaimed in a low voice as he tried to calm the rolling boy on the ground. "You'll be all right!" Tanjiro said. Y/n grabbed Zenitsu's arm. "Zenitsu get up!" Y/n exclaimed, but Zenitsu dragged her arm instead and they did a dropback, Y/n over Zenitsu. Then poor y/n was being flipped and doing yoga poses. "Don't sugarcoat it!" 

"I'm not! I can tell, all right? Zenitsu, you're hurting---" Tanjiro started before he looked up. "Oh no!" he exclaimed. Zenitsu screamed as Y/n was next to Zenitsu, her hair was messed up and she looked as if she was in great pain. "You shouldn't be here!" Tanjiro shouted at the kids. "M-Mister, we heard scratching sounds from inside the box--" the children said fearfully. 

"E-even still, it pains me you left it behind!" Tanjiro exclaimed. Y/N got up and dust herself, her butterfly hairpin nearly dropped but she huffed and run her fingers through her hair to smoothen it before tying her hair in her usual half up half down hairstyle, placing the butterfly hairpin on the middle. 

"I mean it's more precious to me than my own life!" Tanjiro exclaimed. Then, the ground shook as the building rumbled. Zenitsu looked in horror at the wall, Y/n stabled herself, Zenitsu then accidentally launched his bottom towards Tanjiro and the girl, pushing them into one of the rooms. "Tanjiro!" Y/n exclaimed. "Sorry! My butt..." Zenitsu looked back at the two, and there was a loud noise and the door shut tightly. Y/n fell speechless as she raised both fists in front of the door and banged it on the wooden piece. 

The room shifted as it changed, Tanjiro held the girl's shoulders. Then the room shifted into a room as the girl cried. "Sorry you got separated from your brother," Tanjiro said. "But I'm gonna protect you no matter what," Tanjiro promised. He then wiped off the girl's tears. "And Zenitsu and Y/n are going to protect your brother," Tanjiro smiled. "Don't worry!" Tanjiro exclaimed. "What's your name?" Tanjiro asked. 

"Teruko," the girl answered. "Is that right? Teruko?" Tanjiro asked. "That's a fine name you ha-" his mouth shut as he smelled something and looked up, seeing a demon's foot stepping beside the door. Teruko was about to scream but she felt something shut her mouth, Tanjiro's hand was over her mouth, preventing her from screaming. Even among all the scents, this house is enveloped in, this is the most intense one! This demon has devoured a whole slew of humans! He's clearly the master of this mansion! Tanjiro thought.
